The Moon travels around the Earth; in doing so, she also intersects with the ecliptical path of the Sun. This intersection is known as Node. There are two types of lunar nodes: ascending and descending. Each node presents opportunities and sometimes threats to you.
During October we have two descending lunar nodes and one ascending lunar node. This blog post dovetails astronomy and cosmics in respect of the first descending lunar node taking place in October 2010 and gives you few tips for improving your life. For a general introduction of the lunar nodes please read the link on “Lunar Nodes April 2010”
First Descending Node, October 2010
Astronomy
Date: 1 October 2010
Time: UTC/GMT 02.42
Moon Age: 22.6 days
Lunation Cycle: Last Quarter
Constellation: Gemini
Star: The Moon comes in direct line of sight with star Mebsuta whose Arabic name is derived from “Al-Mabsutah” meaning “outstretched”. Astronomically known as Epsilon Geminorium, Mebsuta is a double star in the Gemini constellation. Located on the ecliptical plane, this star is often passed by the Moon. It is the fifth brightest star in the Gemini Constellation. Mebsuta is located on the right knee of the mortal and northern twin Castor. It is a fourth magnitude super giant giving out yellow rays; whereas its companion gives out orange hue.
Cosmics
During this descending node the Moon intersects the ecliptical path of the Sun precisely on the left calf muscle of Castor who is mortal and the northern twin. It signifies a time for cool and calculated moves. Choice in business and family are to be made rationally sans any emotion even though some of these decisions are unpalatable at the first sight.
Cosmic Advice
A check list of advice is appended below to help improving your life, under these circumstances:
1. It is time to change direction and subject your business life into objective scrutiny; time to plan new ventures or get into new partnership in career and business

The annual Saturn–Sun Conjunction takes place on the First of October this year. This celestial phenomenon has been subjected to study from time immemorial. The location of the event and the setting matters a lot in interpreting the conjunction. Let me give you few details of the annual rendezvous between Saturn and Sun in terms of astronomy and cosmics in order to help you improving your life.
Astronomy
1. A conjunction is an alignment of two or more celestial bodies in the sky, as viewed by us from Earth. It does not mean that the celestial bodies are physically close to each other in the sky. Every such conjunction is unique in that the facts regarding the celestial bodies, their relative position and respective settings differ from one conjunction to another. It gives rise to different cosmic interpretation as well.
2. Saturn – Sun conjunction 2010 takes place on Friday, 1 October at 00.18 (GMT/UTC). You have to trace your local time in reference to this. At this time the Saturn is located just above 2 degree north of the Sun and about 200 arc seconds east of the Sun. The respective positions of the two celestial bodies are given below:
Co-ordinates
Saturn
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 12 hour 31 minutes 52 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) South 1 degree 5 minutes 02 seconds
Sun
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 12 hour 28 minutes 24 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) South 3 degree 3 minutes 58 seconds
3. The conjunction lasts for about 30 hours as viewed from the Earth. Most importantly, the conjunction is in Virgo Constellation where Sun stays the longest period of 44 days in its year long ecliptical journey. Saturn entered Virgo constellation on September 2009 and would continue to stay there till early 2012. At the time of conjunction the planet Mercury is also located in Virgo constellation, whereas Mars and Venus have moved into Libra constellation. The Moon is located in Gemini constellation
4. From the location of the constellation, I traced two stars and one deep sky object as shown below:
Poorima: This brilliant star, astronomically referred to as “Gamma Virginis” is located North-east of the conjunction location. Poorima is a binary, with two stars orbiting each other and both having almost same magnitude around 3.4 in terms of brightness. Classified as a dwarf of F0 category Poorima is the second brightest star in the Virgo constellation. This white star is positioned on the waist of the Virgin prodding Al-Biruni, the celebrated astronomer to call it as a “turn” implying this star helps you to turn to better times from bad times or from evil paths to beneficial ways. For the ancient Romans, the position of Poorima in the waist of the Virgin led her being equated to the Roman Goddess of childbirth whom they called as Prorsa (head first) or Postversa (Feet first) signifying the two positions in which a woman gives birth to a child
Zaniah: Astronomically known as Eta Virginis, this star Zaniah is located North-west of the conjunction location. Zaniah also has another similar sounding name “Zannakh”. It has been variably described as blue-white or white or yellow coloured star as the star generates blue, white and yellow streaks of colour. A triple star system with two companions, Zaniah is classified under spectral class of “A2IV” as a sub-giant. Its visual brightness ranges at 3.85 magnitude and is about 130 times luminous than our Sun. This star Zaniah is very close to the celestial equator and in the ecliptical path of the Sun. Once again, the name of the star Zaniah in Arabic means an angle, which can be interpreted as a turning for better. Positioned on the left arm of the Virgin, the star Zaniah symbolizes amusement and enjoyment of life and its pleasures and said to herald good times
M 49 Galaxy: The massive ecliptical galaxy carrying the name M 49 (NGC 4472) is located just north of the conjunction location. Its distance of 60 million light years must be factored in when considering its visual brightness of just 8.4 magnitude. This galaxy has experienced supernovas.
Cosmics
Arising from the location and the setting the following interpretation in terms of cosmics are listed:
1. A time for renewal; springing back to action after bad times
2. New business ventures are in the offing; new partnerships are facilitated
3. For employed, raise in salary or position is envisaged; for self-employed both existing clients and new clients give more business
4. Associates and business partners show honesty and loyalty, whereas family members and spouses show lack of cooperation and perhaps infidelity
5. Financial woes dog big businesses and large companies; medium and small companies turn their corner in terms of sales volume and profits
6. Over all health and wellness suffer and those who are convalescing after surgery, trauma or serious illness must stake special care
7. Social life and interactions are better these days
8. Thos who have busy lifestyle must slow it during this phase, and those who are laggards must kick start their work
9. Broadly, sex and marriage issues are outstanding and must be attended quickly and quietly without keeping these on back burner.

Autumn Equinox arrives on Thursday, September 23 chiming merry bells. Peace and prosperity prevails in many parts of the Globe; there cannot be a better time for business and economics. For you, it could be honey and milk should you try? Let me discuss Autumn Equinox in terms astronomy and cosmics to help you improving your life.
Astronomy
This year the Autumn Equinox takes place at 03.08 UTC/GMT on Thursday 23 September 2010. You have to trace your local time in reference to this.
The Sun
On this date the Sun touches the celestial equator at 12.00 in terms of Longitude and 00.00 in terms of Latitude, as it journeys from north to southward direction. Put it the other way, the Sun is on 12 hours in terms of Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) and 00.00 degree in terms of Declination (Celestial Latitude). When the Sun reaches 00.00 latitude it is precisely over-head in equatorial countries. The Autumn Equinox has two aliases: Fall Equinox and September Equinox. The word equinox means equal day and night as most parts of the globe experience almost similar length of night and day time. Autumn is observed in the northern hemisphere while in the southern hemisphere it is Spring. The Autumn Equinox point is now in Virgo constellation. At this time, the Sun is in Virgo constellation along with planets Saturn, Mars and Venus in that order to the east of the Sun. Mercury, on the other hand is located west of the Sun in Leo constellation.
Saturn
Saturn, the coolest planets in the solar system waits patiently for a rendezvous with the Sun, tipped to take place on Friday, October 1. Saturn is located pretty close to the Sun at this time about 38 arc minute to the east of the Sun.
Star Zaniah
In between these two giants come in star Zaniah. Astronomically known as Eta Virginis, this star Zaniah is variably described as blue-white or white or yellow coloured star as the star generates blue, white and yellow streaks of colour. A triple star system with two companions, this star Zaniah is very close to the celestial equator and in the ecliptical path of the Sun. Immediately after the Autumn Equinox, the Sun is expected to whistle-by this star in late September. The name of the star Zaniah in Arabic means an angle, which can be interpreted as a turning for better. Positioned on the left arm of the Virgin, the star Zaniah symbolizes amusement and enjoyment of life and its pleasures and said to herald good omens for the mankind.
Perfect Alignment
I venture to show the perfect alignment of the Sun, Zaniah and Saturn at the time of the Autumn Equinox. Look at the Longitude figures for these celestial bodies below:
The Sun: 12 hour 00 minutes 00 seconds
Star Zaniah: 12 hour 19 minutes 54 seconds
Saturn: 12 hour 38 minutes 18 seconds
You will see that star Zaniah is almost in median distance between the Sun and Saturn.
The Moon
At this moment the Moon goes through the last vestige of the Twenty-sixth Lunar Mansion (Arabic: Al-Manzil Al-Qamar) of “Al-Fargh Al-Mukdim” which means “the first sprout” and deemed as fairly an un-auspicious mansion out of the 28 Lunar Mansions.
That said, I examined the location of the Moon at this juncture and found that it is inside the “Circlet of Fish Asterism” in the Pisces constellation. This asterism connects seven stars from the mouth of fish towards its neck. These stars are: Gamma, Beta, Theta, Iota, Lambda, Kappa and 19 Piscium, all of these located in the Pisces constellation. Hence, this location is deemed very auspicious.
Besides, the Moon comes in the line of sight with the star Omega Piscium, located east of the circlet. It is the “star of the spring” and christened as “Vernalis” in Latin. It is technically the last star in the Globe of 24 hours with the highest Right Ascension (RA) of 23 hours 59 minutes 50 seconds, just about 10 seconds to the Vernal Equilibrium of Zero point. Vernalis brings rejuvenation and lights up the theme of a new beginning.
Cosmics
Having analysed the position of the planets and stars, I sketch below positive and negative cosmics of the Autumn Equinox 2010, in order to help you in improving your life:
Positive Cosmics:
Enthusiasm that was hiding away from you comes back; new beginning a kind of rejuvenation holds you closely; in business you are planning and realizing goals; in career you are in for changes in job ambit; in studies a feeling of completion; family life is calmer and quieter now with mild and serious issues dividing the family being resolved or neutralized; entertainment and enjoyment are the two sides of the same coin; trip and outings followed by snoozing away your time in vast, open and pleasant spots; you do not forget the elders and the destitute though; lifestyle changes are for better; sharing and caring mind results in charity and bonhomie which in turn keeps you happy and contended
Negative Cosmics:
Bio-rhythm undergoes swinging changes; unbridled entertainment in sex and fun can be crucially debilitating; hyper-activity is observed in mind and body; blowing-up of emotions after incidence of hyper-enjoyment is tracked; keeping a lid over family disputes is a must; do not get over-enthusiastic and start to squander your money and time.

You get a silver streak with the Full Moon of September 2010 which grants you the ability to focus on your objectives and the chance to achieve goals; it elevates you in business and social standing; gives you a welcome relief from stress and strain as regards to your family life. Let me explain the details of the September Full Moon in terms of astronomy and cosmics and offer you few tips in improving your life.
Astronomy
1. Full Moon: The Full Moon appears at 09.17 UTC/GMT on Thursday, 23 September 2010. You have to trace your local time in reference to this time.
2. Location: At this time the Moon is located at:
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 23 hour 55 minutes 24 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) North 4 degree 28 minutes 17 seconds
3. Constellation: Pisces
4. Illumination: 99.98 per centum
5. Apogee: This is the point where the Moon is farthest to the Earth in its revolution. The Moon reaches the apogee point two days earlier on Tuesday, 21 September at 08.03 UTC/GMT. At the time of full moon stage, the Moon is about 251,680 miles away from the earth; consequently the pulling power of the Moon has improved over the apogee position
6. Autumn Equinox: The Full Moon comes six hours after the Autumn Equinox taking place at 03.08 UTC/GMT
7. Surrounding Planet: Jupiter is located in Pisces constellation south of the Moon. In fact Jupiter is almost on the same Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) at this moment at 23 hours 55 minutes and 40 seconds, but some 14 arc seconds to the east of the Moon. There is no conjunction as Jupiter is located more than 6 degrees south from the position of the Moon
8. Lunar Mansions: At the time of Full Moon, it has managed to brace through to the Twenty-seventh Lunar Mansion (Arabic: Al-Manzil Al-Qamar) of “Al-Fargh Al-Thani” which means “the second sprout”. This is one of the 28 lunar mansions and said to be very auspicious
9. Moon Location: At the time of full moon stage the Moon is located just below the knot tying the tail of the western fish in the Pisces constellation. I noticed the star Vernalis is north of the Moon and comes in direct line of sight.
10. Star: “Vernalis” means “Star of the spring” in Latin. Astronomically, Vernalis is called as Omega Piscium; the alphabet Omega is the last one in Greek alphabet and ranks 24. It is technically the last star in the Globe of 24 hours with the highest Right Ascension (RA) of 23 hours 59 minutes 50 seconds, just about 10 seconds to the Vernal Equilibrium of Zero point. Generally Vernalis figures during Vernal Equinox in March, when the Sun comes south of this star. This time it is Autumn Equinox, Lo and Behold we see the Moon is located below this magnificent star. Vernalis is a single, dwarf, sub-giant of yellowish – white hue with moderate brightness at 4.0 magnitude. It belongs to the spectral type of “F5IV “. Located some 106 light years away and with a surface temperature of 6,600 Kelvin it is about 20 times luminous as our Sun and about 1.75 of it size.
Cosmics
The combined effect of the Full Moon in the circumstances described above gives mainly positive and few negative cosmic results:
Positive Cosmics: Enthusiasm all round; ability to focus in achieving goals; feeling of elation within; elevation in position in career and business; easing of family stress and strain; partying and club-going are on the rise
Negative Cosmics: Dry and hot outside and dry & hot inside tends to develop hyper-activities in sex and fun; un- bridled enjoyment and entertainment leading to brawls and break-ups
Improving Your Life
The effect of the full Moon lasts generally for a fortnight till the next New Moon; I am giving few tips for improving your life till then:
Family
1. Reconcile with your family members if you had disagreements before; move fast to cement the pot-holes in your relationship that has dragged on for some time now
2. Diarise a date to visit elders and remember to buy presents for your children as if Christmas is round the corner
3. Belated though it is, you can go for a family outing
Business
1. Time to ask for a raise in salary or a promotion in your job
2. Zoom in, on the short term goals; let me ask you a question: Have you reached your targets in sales? If not go out and try
3. New customers or reviving old customers who have ceased to do business with you must be your priority now
Lifestyle
1. Have a nice time with colleagues; engage in sports and entertainment
2. Good time to date, propose or fix a time and date for marriage
3. Get bluer tinge in your clothing and attire; as regards to Gems & Crystals, I recommend Lapis Lazuli, Agate, Topaz or Azurite.

Eridanus is a southern constellation; most of its stars are not visible to those who live in the northern hemisphere. But it does not stop us marvelling Eridanus, the celestial river whose origin is mired in mythology and whose down stream winding journey is full of cosmics significance. Let me give you a broad brush stroke of legend, astronomy and cosmics standing by the river of Eridanus.
Legend
1. Eridanus is an ancient constellation, one of the 48 constellations Ptolemy penned in his Almagest. The word Eridanus is from Greek “Eridanos” meaning a river. Greek legend has two versions for its origin:
Version one relates to the legend of Phaethon son of Helios prevailing on his father Sun god to let him handle the reign of chariot Helios rides. On concession by the Sun God, Phaethon, inexperience as he is, loses control of the seven immortal steeds and causes the chariot to veer off, setting the earth on fire. Zeus was smitten with this indiscretion and strikes Phaethon by a thunderbolt and hurls his flaming body into the river Padus, which is thereafter christened as Eridanus the celestial river
Version two relates to the legend where, Heliades kid sister of Phaethon, mourning the death of her brother weeps and tears falling from her eyes gather stream and transformed into Eridanus the celestial river
2. The Arabs called Eridanus, “An-Nahr” meaning a river; again there are two versions as to which river they are referring to:
Version one refers to the river Nile; even in Greek the word Nilus is mentioned referring to river Nile which is noted for meandering over a long distance
Version two refers to Euphrates River which fits the topology of Eridanus constellation. The Euphrates River has two branches of stream bringing alluvial soil to the heart of Mesopotamia. Eridanus constellation has two branches called northern and southern streams in the sky.
Astronomy
Eridanus is the by far the longest constellation in the sky. Beginning at south 5 degrees it finishes at about south 57 degree almost a 52 degree span in length. In terms of breath it ranges from 1 hour 38 minutes at star Achernar to 5 hour 4 minutes at star Cursa. It is also the sixth largest constellation in the known sky and occupies about 1,138 square degrees in space. The constellation is visible between latitudes north 30 degree to south 90 degree
Let me take you on the down stream journey of Eridanus constellation. For your easy convenience I am giving you the contours of the Eridanus constellation in the picture below:
Eridanus Constellation
Courtesy: http://www.astrofilitrentini.it/mat/costell/eri_e.html
The river begins its northern stream with the star Cursa (Beta) located at South 5 degree (Declination) and travels westward horizontally till it reaches star Omega then rises to north-west and braces star Mu the northern most star in the constellation. From here till star Nu the journey is flat. Nu star marks the first plunge southwards of mild depth, passing star Xi and come to star Beid (Omicron 1). This location marks the second plunge southwards a fairly deep one. As the river meets star Zaurak (Gamma) the plunge is arrested and Eridanus moves upward in two steps passing Pi star and then star Rana (Delta). Rana begins the horizontal flow of the stream to the west wherein Eridanus flows quietly passing star Epsilon and knocks on star Zibal (Zeta). Eridanus moves on effortlessly bypassing the famous Ostrich’s Nest that is built by a combination of star Zibal, three stars system of Rho (P) signified as P1 P2 and P3 and star Azha (Eta). At this point the northern stream comes to an end.
Azha star begins the southern stream and marks the steepest and deepest fall to south for the river Eridanus until the stream banks on Tau 1 star. A normal plunge is seen now but towards the south-east for the first time. This stream gushes on from Tau 1 thru Tau 3. At the median point of this fall lies Angetenar (Tau 2). After reaching Tau 3 the river meanders till about Tau 9 the entire stretch is being the fertile valley of Eridanus.
Tau 9 marks at yet another plunge towards south-east till the river Eridanus reaches the shore at Upsilon 1. At this pint the river has reached south 30 degree. After this the river takes a U turn at Upsilon 2 and plunges mildly to Upsilon 3 and thence to Upsilon 4. From this point Eridanus makes a medium steep plunge towards south-west and then climbs to north-west. In this journey Eridanus goes through Seven Upsilon stars which are collectively known as “Theemim” and signify the seven steeds of the chariot Helios rides. Thereafter Eridanus labours towards the dam of star Acamar (Theta).
Flowing straight westward, from Acamar, Eridanus passes star Iota. From Iota star, river Eridanus begins a deep descend bathing Kappa star and falling towards Phi star. A quick turn to the west and at Chi star is followed by one shot descend bringing the river to star Achernar (Alpha) located south 57 degree, whereat the longest and winding journey of the mythical river comes to a happy close.
Cosmics
1. Eridanus constellation is known for three significant groups of stars: Ostrich’s Nest, Valley of Eridanus and Seven Steeds of Helios; all of these have great cosmic significance in chiselling your lifestyle
2. In addition there are important junction stars such as Cursa, Beid, Zaurak, Rana, Acamar and Achernar playing a great deal of importance in shaping and improving your life
3. Most stars in the Eridanus constellation starting from Tau 1 downwards do not figure as birth stars, sighted by the Moon or lucky stars sighted by other six planets because these are located 20 degree south of the Ecliptic, which is the path of the Sun. Hence, these stars figure as rising stars or culminating stars only. Rising star is defined as the star rising in the eastern horizon at the time of your birth; whereas Culminating star is defined as the star that was just overhead at the time of your birth
4. The Eridanus stars portend great knowledge in science and technology; facilitate travel above the water; grant position of authority; to many these signify becalming family compared to fairly stormy business life.

In the southern sky a pair of unassuming stars brightens the night: this pair has rhyming names: Beid and Keid. The latter became popular in the Star Trek series where Vulcan home world is shown orbiting around the star Keid. For people in Vulcan, the star Keid is the Sun. Fiction apart, the pair means lot more to you; these stars define your destiny, perhaps the rest of the mankind. Read the blog post to find out, astronomy and cosmics about this mystery twin of Beid and Keid.
Astronomy
Beid
Beid is the first star to rise in the eastern horizon, followed by its twin Keid. The name “Beid” is derived from Arabic “Al-Baid” meaning “Egg- of the Ostrich”. Beid is located in the Eridanus constellation; the name Eridanus means “River” in Greek mythology. You might be confused by egg and river. Let me explain: the Greeks believed that there is a celestial river flowing southerly direction in the sky. Arabs went little further and built a nest for the celestial ostrich in the northernmost part of the river Eridanus. They portrayed star Beid as the egg and star Keid as the egg-shell. Astronomers are not concerned with the legend and call this star Beid as “Omicron 1 Eridani” or in short-hand “O 1 Eri”. Beid star is located at the bend marking the second and deep plunge towards the south in the river Eridanus. This white giant is located about 125 light years away from us and has visual magnitude of 4.04. About 28 times luminous than our Sun, Beid has a surface temperature of 7,100 Kelvin. It is a variable star in terms of brightness, but this variability is fairly insignificant even though the star pulsates rapidly. It rotates every 2 days and sends us white to yellow streaks of light. The co-ordinates of the star Beid are as follows:
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 4 hour 12 minutes 23 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) South 6 degree 48 minutes 37 seconds
Keid
Continuing the celestial legend, Keid the egg-shell is pictured as thrown out of the Ostrich’ nest; perhaps it has served the purpose of hatching baby ostrich. Keid derives its name from Arabic “Al-Qaid” meaning ‘egg-shell”. You cannot keep egg and egg-shell together. Hence, this star Keid is about 200 arc minute and about little less than half-degree away from Beid. Ironically star Keid is much closer to us on Earth. It is about 16.5 light years away and ranks the fiftieth closest star in the sky. Keid is a kid star in comparison with our Sun. Just about three fourth of Sun’s mass and less than half of Sun’s luminosity make Keid a pygmy in the line of magnificent stars. But wait a minute. Size does not matter both in sex as well as in the sky. Keid has figured prominently in Sci-fiction. The film Star Trek tells about the Vulcans whose home world orbits the star Keid. For the Vulcans Keid is their Sun. Recently astronomers found an earth like planet orbiting the star Keid, a definite boost to stellar science. So much so NASA is investigating the likelihood of life in this star Keid.
Astronomically called as “Omicron 2 Eridani” or in short-hand “O2 Eri” it has an alias “40 Eridani”. This star is in fact a trianary, meaning it is a three star system. The alias name has come handy in naming Keid and its companion. Keid is therefore annotated as “40 Eridani A” whereas its companions are given notation as “40 Eridani B” and “40 Eridani C”. All these are dwarfs like our Sun. Keid is an orange dwarf while the B companion is white dwarf and C companion is a red dwarf. At 5,100 Kelvin surface temperature Keid glows at about 4.43 magnitude. Combined with its companions Keid appears to give a healthy mixture of soothing orange rays. The co-ordinates of the star Beid are as follows:
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 4 hour 15 minutes 47 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) South 7 degree 37 minutes 44 seconds
Cosmics
1. The twins Beid and Keid are destiny stars. They shape your destiny and that of the mankind. These stars have given a new twist to sci-fiction and stellar science. Observing the pair could further unravel about our universe
2. Beid or Keid does not figure as a birth star, sighted by the Moon or lucky star sighted by other six planets because it is located 26 degree south of the Ecliptic, which is the path of the Sun. Hence, Beid or Keid can influence your life as a rising star or a culminating star only. Rising star is defined as the star rising in the eastern horizon at the time of your birth; whereas Culminating star is defined as the star that was just overhead at the time of your birth
3. Beid and Keid both have similar cosmics and are mutually inclusive; hence one of the star figuring is enough to trigger the combined effect of both these stars
4. The stars portend great knowledge in science and technology
5. The pair makes a person travel easily over the land, in the air, through space and above the water; but can cause disaster in sub marine travel
6. These stars shower a position of authority to a person; nonetheless such persons go through changes in their job descriptions or ambit of authority often
7. Beid and Keid have peculiar magnetic effect. A person born under either of the pair must avoid leaning over cliffs, or getting submerged or entangled in water current in river or sea
8. By dictates of business or lifestyle if you use magnetic or communication devises on your person, take care as changes in magnetic field can spell disaster to you
9. Becalming family life welcomes those under the influence of this pair
10. Avoid travelling or going out on the full moon day

When the Moon intersects with the ecliptical path of the Sun it results in a situation called lunar node. There are two types of lunar nodes: ascending and descending. Each node presents opportunities and perhaps threats to you. This blog post details astronomy and cosmics relating to the ascending lunar node taking place in September 2010 and gives you few tips in improving your life.
For a general introduction of the lunar nodes please read the link on “Lunar Nodes April 2010”
Ascending Lunar Node September 2010
Astronomy
Date: 16 September 2010
Time: 13.56 UTC/GMT
Moon Age: 8 days
Lunation Cycle: First Quarter
Constellation: Sagittarius
Cosmics
The Moon intersects the ecliptical path of the Sun precisely on the middle of the upper string of the bow the Archer holds. At this time the Moon is travelling towards the north from the south in the celestial sphere. From this location we observe three heavenly bodies: Star Polis (Mu Sagittarii) onto the north-west; Star Kaus Borealis (Lambda Sagittarii) to the south-west; star Nunki (Sigma Sagittarii) onto the south-east. Taking the middle course in between these three stars, the Moon does something spectacular. She occults M 22 Globular cluster popularly known as “Facies”.
Facies or M 22 Globular
Facies or M 22 Globular has been well –described in my earlier post. You can read by linking “Ascending Lunar Node, August 2010”. This globular cluster is the third luminous in the known sky and has within it a huge nursery of 70,000 baby stars. Located just a degree below the ecliptical path M 22 globular often gets occults (covered) by planets including the Sun and the Moon.
Improving your life
1. Use green profusely and red sparingly in dresses and appropriately during colour bath
2. Unless you are susceptible to chill, make merry out of the welcome rain that sprinkles much needed water onto your body. Watching rain drops falling or walking under a drizzle helps you immensely. Alternatively you can spend more time in a bath tub or in a pool
3. Stay in moist and cold ambience to rejuvenate your system and to re-build energy levels
4. Keep your physique in trim condition, elderly must take extra care in keeping fit
5. Follow Lord Buddha and keep to middle path during this season especially in family affairs
6. Businessmen demonstrate high degree of determination paving way in concluding new deals or striking new partnerships
7. Women play leading role during this time phase; in families there is reconciliation seen with erstwhile opponents, especially daughters and spouses; Similar trend continues in business where women cause new beginning or bring new customers or business relationships. This applies to business where the owners or leading shareholders are men. Contrarily, women dominated business goes southwardly
8. Good time to commence new constructions or additional wings in respect of family abodes and business premises
9. Bad time for sex & marriage; mitigating factor is new romance flowers well during this season
10. If you are low in spirits, I advise you to visit sea-shore and watch the waves lashing; washing your feet by the froth relieves stress. Patients suffering from hyper tension can try this out.

So you are a brilliant stockbroker who make good fortune in the market and at the same time remain committed in protecting the interest of your clients. If so, you have the star Kochab guiding you in spirit and in action. For your benefit, I sketch details of astronomy and cosmics of the star Kochab and give you few tips in improving your life.
Astronomy
1. The name of the star “Kochab” is derived from Hebrew and Arabic lexicon for a heavenly body. Both Hebrew and Arabic scriptures mention the word “Kawkab” in reference to stars. In Arabic, Kochab has a lengthy name “Al-Kawkab Al-Shamaliy” meaning “the star of the north”. Because, a millennium ago this star Kochab was the North Star. Kochab is about 16 degrees away from the present day North Star, Polaris. Astronomical name for this star is “Beta Ursae Minoris (B Ursa Minor)”. In some directories the star is also written as “Kocab”
2. It is the second brightest star in the Little Bear constellation with a visual magnitude of 2.08
3. Kochab is an orange colour giant star with abnormally strong barium within it giving rise to a magnificent light and the spectral classification of “K4 III Ba 03 “
4. It is located at 126 light years away from us
5. Kochab shines about 500 times luminous than our Sun; its surface temperature at 4,000 Kelvin and its distance are factored in the star giving us cool and orange rays
6. The size of Kochab is about 50 times of our Sun
7. Kochab is a prominent star in the asterism known as “Little Dipper Asterism” in the Little Bear constellation; it occupies the top and front of the spoon in that asterism
8. The co-ordinates of the star Kochab are as follows:
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 14 hour 50 minutes 42 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) North 74 degree 9 minutes 20 seconds
Cosmics
1. The star Kochab is located on the right side top hide over the back of the little bear
2. Little Bear constellation is significant because it presently has Polaris functioning as the North Star and previously had Kochab acting as North Star, both of these are located within the constellation
3. Many cultures had fascinating affair with this star Kochab. Singly, this star was “ Polos” to the Greeks meaning the “ north star” ; Emperor to the Chinese; Guiding star for the sea – faring Phoenicians (modern day Lebanese). Together with the neighbouring star Pherkad, Kochab got a title as “Guardians of the Pole” The Arabs also considered the two stars as the calves of the Bear. They had two descriptive names for Kochab: “Al-Nair Al-Farqadain” meaning “the bright one of the calves” and “Al-Anwar Al- Farqadain” meaning “the Light of the two calves”
4. Kochab is located in the Sixteenth Lunar Mansion (Arabic: Al-Manzil al- Qamar) of “Al-Zubana” (“The Claws” in Arabic). This lunar mansion is said to give mainly positive and sometimes negative results. It gives sense of judgment and sense of courage in equal measures. For those who make bad judgements it grants their death wish
5. Significantly, Kochab gives qualities of nourishment and protection to you and to those who are connected with you; you get elated spirit and are ready for the rough and tumble of busy business life
6. Kochab does not figure as a birth star, sighted by the Moon or lucky star sighted by other six planets because it is located close to the northern pole at 74 degree north. Hence, Kochab can influence your life as a rising star or a culminating star only. Rising star is defined as the star rising in the eastern horizon at the time of your birth; whereas Culminating star is defined as the star that was just overhead at the time of your birth. There is one more condition: the effect of the star Kochab does not concern those who are born in locations above 74 Parallel north such as Nunavut in Canada or below 16 degree parallel south such as Queensland in Australia
Improving Your Life
The following are few recommendations to improve your life:
1. You should select white, apple-white, orange, crimson red as colours appropriate for your dress
2. Number 1, 4 and 6 are cosmically inclined towards you, so use these liberally in your business transactions
3. You need more air in your system as it gets moist and hot simultaneously
4. Any “ T” word marks your success: trade, travel, training and host of others. Speculative jobs such as stock broking , bond broking and dealing in white goods such as fridges and washing machines could lead to prosperity
5. Observation, analytics and deriving conclusions go systematically in your brain. Number gurgitation is observed as a significant trait. Hence you can fit in as investor , partner or venture capitalist
6. Kochab favours risk taking life style both in family and business; consequently everything depends on the quality of your judgement. Kochab can make you succeed in family and business affairs or break either or both
7. Sex & marriage together are not given excellent marks under the Kochab regime as one of these will definitely falter; nonetheless, your marriage could last without much enjoyment for quite sometime
8. Spend your leisure time in vast open to the sky spaces; for sports select swimming and aqua activities
9. Fire opal, Hessonite and Chalcedony are gems & crystals suiting you fine

Many of you have to work hard to get money and wealth. But there are few who just get wealthy through the efforts of others; besides enjoyment of life too. If you are born under the star Albali you fit in this class. Check with this blog that dovetails astronomy and cosmics of the star Albali and gives you few tips in improving your life.
Astronomy
1. The name of the star “Albali” is from Arabic “Al-Balii” which means “the Swallower”. Astronomical name of this star is “Epsilon (e) Aquarii”. Originally the term Albali was used to refer to this star Albali and two of its neighbouring stars Mu (u) Aquarii and Nu (v) Aquarii; later the name Albali was limited to this star Epsilon Aquarii only, whereas Mu and Nu Aquarii stars were collectively called as “Al-Bulaan” which in Arabic means “Dual”
2. Albali is a sub-giant white star with bluish tinge interspersed; its spectral classification is “A1 V “
3. It is located at 230 light years away from us
4. It is a fourth magnitude star in brilliance with a visual magnitude of 3.75
5. Albali shines 138 time luminous than our Sun and gives out hot blue-to-white rays; this colour against the background of infra-red light emanating from the surrounding debris of Albali, makes the star a fascinating object to watch
6. Albali rotates every 2 to 3 days and considered to be very rich in metals
7. Astronomers continue to study star Albali and the nearby stars Mu and Nu Aquarii as the noted planetary nebula known as “Saturn Nebula (NGC 7009) is located very close to Nu Aquarii. It is called Saturn Nebula as it appears like the planet Saturn with a disc
8. The co-ordinates of the star Albali is as follows:
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 20 hour 48 minutes 15 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) South 9 degree 29 minutes 45 seconds

2. Aquarius is one of the oldest constellations. In Greek legend Aquarius is “Ganymede” whose job is to pour divine nectar called ambrosia to the Gods out of the jug he carries
3. The celebrated Persian Astronomer Al Kazwini is the opinion that the strange title “Swallower” comes from the fact that Al-Bali and two other stars close by, namely Mu (u) and Nu (v) Aquarii join together to swallow or absorb the light coming from the stars in the nearby Capricornus constellation
4. Albali is located in the Twenty-third Lunar Mansion (Arabic Al-Manzil al- Qamar) of “Al-Saad-Al-Bula” (“The Good Fortune of the Swallower” in Arabic). This lunar mansion is said to be auspicious out of the 28 lunar mansions and considered to shower power & glory along with amassing of wealth of which the major is gift or bequeath
5. Albali star is located very close to the celestial equator and can be counted as ruling star for you in the following order:
Birth star: If the Moon sights this star at the time of your birth
Lucky star: If Planets other than the Moon sight this star at the time of your birth
Rising star: If the star arises in the eastern horizon at the time of your birth

New Moon in September 2010 brings positive feeling and a new beginning geared towards good results. Your career is in good shape; business is doing well; there is peace and prosperity in family life too. In this blog post let me explain the details of the New Moon in terms of astronomy and cosmics and give you few hints for improving your life.
Astronomy
September New Moon
The September New Moon appears at 10.30 (GMT/UTC) on Wednesday 8 September 2010. You have to trace your local time in reference to this. At this time the Sun and the Moon are more than eleven arc minutes apart; besides the Sun is more than 4 degree to the north of the New Moon; hence any chance of a conjunction is averted. The co-ordinates of the Sun and the Moon are given below:
Co-ordinates
The Sun
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 11 hour 7 minutes 16 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) North 5 degree 38 minutes 47 seconds
The Moon
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 10 hour 56 minutes 32 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) North 1 degree 17 minutes 03 seconds
Perigee
This is the point where the Moon is closest to the Earth in its revolution. The Moon reached the Perigee point on the same day morning at 04.00 UTC/GMT when its distance from the Earth was around 221,948 miles. At the time of New Moon, the Moon has moved little farther from the perigee point about 222,051 miles away from our Earth. Even though the pulling power of the Moon is higher during Perigee stage, the fact that this is a New Moon with least illumination means that the pulling power is fairly muted
Illumination
Illuminated around 0.2 percent the New Moon cannot be seen by us. Glare of the Sun apart, the Moon’s illumination is too insignificant for it to be recognized
Constellation
The Moon has arrived in the Leo constellation just-in-time travelling from the Sextans constellation, as it reaches the New Moon stage
Location of Moon
The New Moon is located at the bottom of the right paw of the mighty lion
Surrounding Planets
1. Mercury is located in Leo constellation to the north-west of the Moon
2. The Sun is in Leo constellation north-east to the Moon
3. Saturn, Mars and Venus, in that order are located to the south-east of the Moon in the Virgo constellation
Star
No significant star is noted at this time and location
Lunar Mansions
The New Moon arises in the Eleventh Lunar Mansion (Arabic Al-Manzil al- Qamar) of “Al-Zubrah” (“The Mane” in Arabic). This lunar mansion is very auspicious out of the 28 lunar mansions and deemed to shower primarily positive results
Cosmics
The combined effect of the New Moon in the circumstances described above gives primarily positive and quite a few negative cosmic results:
Positive Cosmics: Air of confidence in and around you; you are in control with maturity and mellowness to go with it; marriage is working exceedingly well; cash- flow improves; memory of parents and duty towards less fortunate hovers around you; calm and serenity in the ambience coupled with good guidance put you on the winning track
Negative Cosmics: Cold and moist outside and to the lesser extent inside too brings a feeling of uniformity and laziness; sense of fear and anxiety in the minds of secularists whereas a degree of reverence and worship in the minds of church-goers; you may develop dependency syndrome if you are weak financially or physically
Improving Your Life
The effect of the New Moon lasts generally for a fortnight till the next Full Moon; I am giving few tips for improving your life till then:
Family
1. Women in the family are generally in weak spot as regards to their health; both menstruating and nursing women could suffer more
2. Excellent time for marriage as man woman combination works well. Gays and Lesbians could receive the wrath of the Nature
3. Rest and recreation is the key for keeping your body and mind fit
Business
1. Excellent time for those who are carrying on independent business or occupation; Business executives in companies are more attuned to do planning and execution of the plans; Marketing guys make good value-judgement even with declining profit margins; textiles and trade are industry segments showing great potential
2. Expansion of business, construction of new wings in offices and factories could be timed to this season
3. Money is aplenty with lending and borrowing to go hand-in-hand; bad debts are zeroed-in either by payment or write-off
Lifestyle
1. Good time for love, marriage, romance and dating; sex-related diseases specially coming arsing in same-sex couples are forecast
2. Be prepared to travel at short notice to promote your business or to take part in family engagement
3. Use shades of yellow colour in your dress; eat more yellow vegetables and fruits; lemon and lime are fruits that go with the prevailing temperament; moreover lemon flavour works well. If you have time for leisure do travel to flat land where you see the sky and the horizon clearly; perchance if you see lotus flower anywhere take a snap shot or peer through your eyes to get its cosmics; in the corollary those who do yoga are advised to perform more “ Padmasana” or lotus postures in this season
4. As regards to Gems & Crystals, I suggest yellow shade gems such as lemon topaz, yellow sapphire along with zircon, beryl, garnet in light shades of yellow to maximize positive cosmics.

Lunar nodes arise when the path of the Moon intersects with the ecliptical path of the Sun. There are two types of lunar nodes: ascending and descending. Each node presents opportunities and perhaps threats to you. This blog post details astronomy and cosmics relating to the descending lunar node taking place in September 2010 and gives you few tips for improving your life.
For a general introduction of the lunar nodes please read the link on “Lunar Nodes April 2010”
Descending Node, August 2010
Astronomy
Date: 4 September 2010
Time: UTC/GMT 0.16
Moon Age: 25.0 days
Lunation Cycle: Last Quarter
Constellation: Gemini
Star: The Moon sights star Alzirr (Xi Gemini), a white sub-giant located in the Gemini constellation, precisely on the upper right foot of the eastern twin Pollux. Generally warriors of ancient times wore leather shoes with a knot or button over the upper foot. This might have made Al-Biruni, the Persian Astronomer to call this star “Alzirr” meaning “button”. Astronomers on the other hand call this star as “Xi Geminorium” This star Alzirr is a solo star with a spectral type of “F5IV” with visual brightness of 3.4 magnitude. It is about 57 light years away and 20 times luminous than our Sun. Alzirr is important because it is the last bright star in the easternmost part of the Gemini constellation.
Cosmics
During this descending node the Moon intersects the ecliptical path of the Sun precisely in the gap between the twins Castor and Pollux who are often depicted as seated comfortably. It signifies a relaxed time in between stress and work. No more stress in the business life; by the same token no more tension in the family life. It is a welcome change for everyone who works hard in their career or business and at the same time takes care of his loved ones.
Improving your life
1. Use white, blue and red colour profusely in dresses and appropriately during colour bath
2. As the ambience is hot and dry you must keep your house or office cold and moist
3. Drink plenty of water and fruit juices
4. Go moderate in eating vegetables but feast in delicacies of meat and fish
5. The medical profession must be on the watch as the chance of negligence is high followed by claims for compensation. On the corollary chronically ill patients should not give up taking medicine as the chance of major failure is forecast
6. Good time to buy gems & crystals along with gold jewellery for women
7. Real estate picks up and those who invest in this sector could be better off
8. Button-up and be ready for travel or elevation in your career
9. Soccer celebrities playing in league matches in Europe or elsewhere get better offers for changing teams, though they still run the risk of damaging their ankles specially the right ones
10. Lifestyle changes are forecast heavily for celebrities and moderately for politicians.

Full Moon August 2010 alerts you to the dangers within and without. In this blog post let me explain the details of the Full Moon in terms of astronomy and cosmics and offer you few tips in improving your life, under the circumstances.
Astronomy
1. Full Moon: The Full Moon appears at 17.05 UTC/GMT on Tuesday, 24 August 2010. You have to trace your local time in reference to this time.
2. Location: At this time the Moon is located at:
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 22 hour 9 minutes 33 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) South 7 degree 29 minutes 38 seconds
3. Constellation: Aquarius
4. Illumination: 99.56 per centum
5. Apogee: This is the point where the Moon is farthest to the Earth in its revolution. The Moon reaches the apogee point about 13 hours after the full moon time on August 25 at 5.51 UTC/GMT. At the time of full moon stage, the Moon is about 252,300 miles away from the earth; consequently the pulling power of the moon recedes somewhat
6. Surrounding Planet: Jupiter located in Pisces constellation east of the Moon
7. Lunar Mansions: At the time of Full Moon, it has just arrived at the Twenty-fifth Lunar Mansion (Arabic: Al-Manzil Al-Qamar) of “Al-Sad Al-Ahbiyah” which means “the Fortune of the Hidden”. This is one of the 28 lunar mansions and said to be fairly inauspicious
8. Moon Location: At the time of full moon stage the Moon is located on the hip of Aquarius, the Water Carrier
9. Star: At this time the Moon is in direct line of sight with the star Sadalmelik located on the right shoulder of Aquarius, the water carrier. The name of this star is derived from Arabic “Al-Sad Al- Malik” which means “the Fortune of the King”. It is the second brightest star in the Aquarius constellation even though astronomer Bayer classified it as an alpha star. Astronomically called as “Alpha Aquarii, Sadalmelik is a yellow super giant ascribed with “G2 I b” nomenclature. Lying about 760 light years away, this star shines about 3000 times luminous than our Sun. It has several unique qualities:
1. Sadalmelik is located almost on the celestial equator
2. The star varies in brightness but so far no reasons for this variability is established
3. The star is a hybrid one in that it is cooler inside with around 6,000 Kelvin surface temperature but at the same time its surrounding magnetic field is too hot to form coronas
Cosmics
The combined effect of the Full Moon in the circumstances described above gives both positive and negative cosmic results:
Positive Cosmics: Urge to compete and win; Feeling of “ déjà vu” ; putting up lot of airs; prominence along with delight; more love and friendship; Tree and harvest is the underlying theme; thinking global; nagging problems are getting solved
Negative Cosmics: Dry and hot outside but cold and moist inside means you cannot balance internal and external dimensions; imbalance in family and business issues; beware of “ femme fatale”; downswing in family relationship; disharmony among children; body aches and health issues frustrate you; stress on meeting targets, none the less slow and steady wins the race; illusions are all over
Improving Your Life
The effect of the full Moon lasts generally for a fortnight till the next New Moon; I am giving few tips for improving your life till then:
Family
1. You can argue and win; but that leaves matters in bad taste; so avoid contest within family and definitely do not tango with your wife on critical issues
2. Pregnancy and child bearing undergoes severe stress these days; so take care
3. Health and personal hygiene need more attention
Business
1. If you are in politics and administration do not get confused by illusions; any bad step would bring calamity to everyone concerned. If you are in large corporate world you are bound to do well. Airlines and aviation industry looks prettier.
2. Small and Medium businesses should keep their stock level much lower and refrain from re-ordering stocks
3. Functionally departments are not coordinating well during this phase. Marketing and operations might not see eye to eye; it is better to avoid any misunderstanding and over lap of responsibilities
Lifestyle
1. Not a good time for love and marriage or for casual affairs; ironically those who suffer from sexual dysfunction see that their situation is changing for better
2. Take care in dealing with women lest wives and associates spin wool around your eyes
3. Use light yellow colour in your dress; eat more yellow vegetables and fruits; vanilla flavour works well. If you have time for leisure visit farm lands and see grains and trees. Go and stay close to trees with large barks; if you feel okay embrace these barks as your loved ones and relax
4. As regards to Gems & Crystals, I suggest yellow gems such as zircon ,beryl, citrine sapphire, garnet, topaz along with amber that enhance positive cosmics. Women can use more gold and less silver

You know lunar nodes arise when the path of the Moon intersects with the ecliptical path of the Sun. There are two types of lunar nodes: ascending and descending. Each node presents opportunities and perhaps threats to you. This blog post details astronomy and cosmics relating to the ascending lunar node taking place in August 2010 and gives you few tips for improving your life.
For a general introduction of the lunar nodes please read the link on “Lunar Nodes April 2010”
Ascending Node, August 2010
Astronomy
Date: 20 August 2010
Time: UTC/GMT 12.13
Moon Age: 10.5 days
Lunation Cycle: Waxing Gibbous
Constellation: Sagittarius
Cosmics
The Moon intersects the ecliptical path of the Sun precisely above the left eye of the archer Sagittarius. From this location we observe three heavenly bodies: one is Star Xi 2 Sagittarius onto the north-east; Star Nunki towards the south and M 22 Globular cluster popularly known as “Facies” onto the south-west.” At this moment of time the Moon comes in the line of sight with M 22 Globular cluster.
Facies or M 22 Globular
Facies due to its prominence has turned out to be a star itself, even though it is one of the big nurseries of stars in the known sky. Reportedly, the first globular cluster to be discovered by astronomers its name Facies is said to be derived from Latin “Facere”. This word means “to make “. Colloquially, the word face is assigned to this cluster as the archer Sagittarius faces this system in the celestial sphere. Located just a degree below the ecliptical path, M 22 Globular or Facies often gets occulted by planets including the mighty Sun. This cluster is ranked third luminous in the known sky and perhaps much closer to us. Located somewhere at a distance of 10, 400 light years away the nursery of stars contain more than 70, 000 baby stars. Moreover, the cluster also contains planet-sized objects some of these are much larger than our Earth. Its dense nature and voluminous baby stars within make M 22 Globular an excellent spectacle in the night sky.
Improving your life
1. Use green and red profusely in dresses and appropriately during colour bath
2. Heart and lungs are susceptible for weakness or sickness; take special care if you are a heart patient or suffer from gastric. Make a beeline to your infirmary and check your pulse, pressure and breathing pattern. Those who suffer from eye related issues should consult their medical practitioners for extra medication or attention
3. Hot and moist temperature can help you rather than dry and cold ambience
4. Accidents or mishaps could arise due to carelessness on your part or on the part of others
5. Avoid travelling in speeding vehicles or motor boats
6. Excellent rime for marketers but not so favourable to production or support services
7. Those engaged in sports such as acrobatics, self-defence and speed boats must take extra caution
8. Overall, good for academicians, professionals and medium to large businessmen
9. Risk taking is appropriate for this season; windfalls are there for those who take calculated risks
10. Balance your time between business and family.

Strange things can always happen. On Friday 13 August 2010, Moon and Venus come in for a close encounter in the sky. Though the date 13 Friday is generally perceived as unlucky, this alignment of two planets brings love and money during this hot summer. Let me give you few ideas about this rendezvous in this blog.

1. The Moon – Venus encounter takes place on Friday 13 August 2010 at about 12.07 UTC/GMT. You have to trace your local time in reference to this time.
2. At this time Venus is positioned about 4.75 degree north of Moon
3. The Moon is 3.5 days old and is in waxing crescent lunation cycle
4. Both Moon and Venus are in Virgo constellation; they had company in the form of Mars and Saturn which are also located in the same constellation
5. Venus had a conjunction previously with Saturn on 8 August and proposes to meet with Mars on 19 August. Hence, the present getting together of Moon and Venus comes almost in the middle of the two episodes
6. Both Venus and Moon are below the pathway of the Sun called as ecliptical path
7. During August Venus is very bright and is seen as an evening planet in the eastern sky
8. Just north of Venus is the brilliant star Zaniah
Star Zaniah
1. Astronomically known as Eta Virginis, this star Zaniah is variably described as blue-white or white or yellow coloured star. Its spectral classification of “A2” suggests that it is a white coloured one. This confusion is occasioned as many observers on earth find blue, white and yellow streaks of colour emanating from Zaniah. This star is 250 light years away and has a magnitude of 3.9. It is a triple star with two companions
2. Zaniah is wedged between the celestial equator and the ecliptical path of Sun. During September the Sun braces past this star. Few planets come close to it; often times it is moon and on this particular date it is Venus
Cosmics
Interesting facts emerge from this alignment:
1. The name of the star Zaniah in Arabic means an angle, which can be interpreted as a turning for better
2. Positioned on the left arm of the Virgin, the star Zaniah symbolizes amusement and enjoyment of life and its pleasures, Chinese treated the star as a maintainer of Law
3. Both Venus and the Moon are positioned on the left wing that hovers over the left arm of the Virgin
4. During this time, the Moon is in the Lunar Mansion of Al-Simak, one of the favourable stations out of the 28 Arabic lunar mansions
Improving Your Life
Few tips in improving your family, business and lifestyle are listed:
1. This is the time for love and enjoyment; under the sweltering heat you have all the options on the table: you can begin romance, make love or simply flutter in merry thoughts
2. Time for fun and frolic and to have absorbing holidays; If you can get into a roller coaster in an amusement park make a dart towards it
3. Even if your kitty is empty do not worry; the fun and pleasure you have during this phase makes you more energetic to make money later
4. Don bright coloured dress; crimson red is excellent for many; blue and scintillating yellow also make the grade
5. Spend time under sunlight in parks, beaches or any or spend time in open spaces open spaces
6. Illuminate your home with blue or yellow coloured light
7. Make your bed room airy
8. Honey and sparkling wine could add to your pleasure
9. Reduce your travel unless it relates to holidays

Full Moon April 2010 alerts you the dangers ahead as you could be pushed into a corner by overtaking events. In this blog post let me explain the details of the Full Moon in terms of astronomy and cosmics and offer you few tips to avoid snarls and in improving your life.
Astronomy
1. Full Moon: The Full Moon appears at 12.19 UTC/GMT on Wednesday, 28 April 2010. You have to trace your local time in reference to this time.
2. Location: At this time the Moon is located at:
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 14 hour 20 minutes 44 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) South 18 degree 39 minutes 35 seconds
3. Constellation: Libra Virgo border
4. Illumination: 99.93 per centum
5. Perigee: This is the point where the Moon is closest to the Earth in its revolution. The Moon reached the Perigee point on April 24, at 21.00 UTC/GMT when its distance from the Earth was around 228,131 miles. At the time of Full Moon, the Moon has moved away from the perigee point and placed at the distance about 230, 830 miles away from the earth; consequently the pulling power of the moon has receded somewhat
6. Surrounding Planet: Saturn located too far on the North- West in Virgo constellation
7. Lunar Mansions: At the time of Full Moon, it has almost arrived at the Fifteenth Lunar Mansion (Arabic: Al-Manzil Al-Qamar) of “Al-Ghafr”, which means “the Cover”. This is one of the 28 lunar mansions and said to be inauspicious
8. Star: At this time the Moon is in direct line of sight with the star Zubenalgenubi located precisely on the middle of the southern or left tray on the scale of Libra. The name of this star is derived from “Al-Zuban Al- Janubiyyah” which means “ the Southern Claw”. Its alias “ Kiffa Australis” which was taken from Arabic “ Al- Kiffah Al-Janubiyyah” meaning “ the Southern Tray” is most appropriate to this star on the basis of its location. Nonetheless the former name stuck. It is the second brightest star in the Libra constellation even though astronomer Bayer classified it as an alpha star. Astronomically called as “Alpha 2 Librae”, this star is a visual binary with another star called as “Alpha 1 Librae” as its companion. In any case these two stars are far apart and do not resemble with each other. The star Zubenalgenubi is a bright white sub giant with a spectral class of “A3IV”. Zubenalgenubi showers white to yellow light along with brightness on the scale of 2.75 magnitude. Located some 77 light years away it is fairly hot star with a surface heat of 8,500 Kelvin.
Cosmics
The combined effect of the Full Moon in the circumstances described above gives both positive and negative cosmic results:
Positive Cosmics: More emphasis is paced on “take care” mode and “wait and see” attitude; less importance is placed on “go forward” lifestyle. Preservation of existing profit and cash-flow during this phase is the key ingredient for success in your business ventures and in managing family affairs. You have to expect something unusual springing onto your face. Clear understanding of issues and problems could prevail. Standards and ethics play a major part in your life. Overall your health improves
Negative Cosmics: Cold and dry ambience outside could make you work harder; results are not encouraging though. Inter relationship with opposite sex could become weaker, sometimes leading to incriminating evidence. More or less fairly bad time in everything you do as downswings are seen in many of the fields. Never the less exploration to space and inventing new gadgets and gismos could fare better.
Improving Your Life
The effect of the full Moon lasts generally for a fortnight till the next New Moon; I am giving few tips for improving your life till then:
1. Show the amber colour to everyone and everything; that is “wait and see till the traffic light turns green” must be your lifestyle during this fortnight.
2. Take care in dealing with the members of the opposite sex lest you get into embarrassment; you have to take care that you do not leave any incriminating evidence resulting from any misdemeanour
3. Even though you are not going to lose temper and flare up take care of your tongue so that you do not slip somewhere that could cause immeasurable damages to you later on
4. For those in politics: time to put an hold on explosive issues and to build a kind of Chinese wall between you and the several interest and pressure groups around you who prod you to make hasty decisions; for those in higher administration in public and private sectors: time to apply standards and norms and keep your decisions legal and binding on others
5. Fairly good time for marketing and operations in line management and bad time for administration and logistics; avoid much of travel out to long distances
6. Women could lead the way in many areas such as business, administration, family and gender issues. They could take frontal seats in equality of treatment or rising against social and administrative injustice
7. Very bad time for romance or getting married
8. Success is shown for those engaged in trading in infrastructure, hardware and solid items and personality improving sphere
9. Any new partnership must be put on the back burner; another nugget: neither borrower nor lender be
10. Either you choose white or rainbow colours in your attire and dress modestly. Consume more honey and kosher wine to keep your spirits up and running
11. If you have little leisure go to places that are above sea-level such as top of mountains or rocks and relax; a special advice to persons who are chronically ill: go and stay close to trees with large barks; if you feel okay embrace these barks as your loved ones and relax
12. As regards to Gems & Crystals, any white gems are good for this season: Diamond tops the list followed by Sapphire, Opal, Topaz, Goshenite (White Beryl) Rock Crystal (Quartz). For ladies I recommend Moonstone (White tone) and Pearls (silver in body colour at AA Lustre) as most apt.

When Sun rises in the east it heralds the beginning of the day; there are several names given to this phenomenon: Daybreak, Dawn, Sunrise, Sunup and in colloquial term First Light. In several cultures it is known as the “cock crow time”. Though the time given for sunrise in many almanacs refer to the actual sight of the sun rise as seen in the horizon, the dawn, in fact has already happened.
The Rooster perhaps senses this accurate time of dawn and crows much earlier than the red rays of sunlight bathe in the east. Typically, there are three types of dawns: Astronomical, Nautical and Civil. Let me explain in this blog post, the three types of dawn and the astronomy and cosmics related to these. I also take liberty to suggest few activities that go with each type of dawn so that you can implement and see results in terms of improving your life.
Astronomical Dawn
Astronomy
This dawn takes place 72 minutes before the sunrise time at your locality. Let us assume your sun rise time is 6.12 a.m. By deducting 72 minutes you will clock at 5.00 a.m. This time is known as “Astronomical Dawn”. This dawn lasts from 5.00 a.m. till 5.24 a.m. During this 24 minutes time slot you witness what we call as “Astronomical Twilight” where you cannot see things on earth clearly but would be able to see most of the stars in the sky easily. The streaks of sun light from the upper atmosphere lit up the sky and slowly fall on the earth
Cosmics
This is the time your Rooster starts to serenade, urging you to begin your day at dawn. When cock begins to crow it is not only a wake up call but a reminder that the time is too auspicious for you to miss. At this time the angels descend up on the earth bringing glad tidings to everyone. Their arrival is greeted with the chirp of birds and the twinkle of the distant stars. You feel calm and serenity around you and the whiffing of the fresh air. Your mind is in peace and your heart beats slowly
Activities
Arise from your bed, stack the bedding and pillows, wish yourself a good day, stretch your hands, legs and other muscles, say little prayer or hum some music, thereafter make a bee line to the bathroom. Brush your teeth, gargle out, wash your hand and face, sit comfortably on a chair and gulp 4 glasses of water. Thereafter engage in mild work, meditation or just think about your routine for the day. Depending on the type of lifestyle, your level of activities could range between moderate to busy
Nautical Dawn
Astronomy
This dawn takes place 48 minutes before the sunrise time at your locality. Let us assume your sun rise time is 6.12 a.m. By deducting 48 minutes you will clock at 5.24 a.m. This time is known as “Nautical Dawn”. This dawn lasts from 5.24 a.m. till 5.48 a.m. During this 24 minutes time slot you observe what we call as “Nautical Twilight” where you cannot see things on earth clearly or see the dim stars on the sky but would be able to see most of the stars if you are on the sea in a ship or boat. The streak of light from the upper atmosphere lit up the sky and covers the entire sea and major part on the earth
Cosmics
In addition to the bird chirp you find cats mew and dogs bark and most domesticated animals swing into action. Out there vehicular traffic starts as people are getting about in their daily lives. Your family is up; wife is already in the kitchen, children are getting ready for their day in the schools. As you become more active your pulse goes up so is your heart beat. Your mind is working faster and you have lot to do. The scent of the flowers in your backyard pervades in the air and you get a sense of elation going up in your spine
Activities
If you are an outgoing and workaholic personality you start your business life by shuffling the papers and files in your brief case or if you have not brought these into your home on the previous evening you just allow your mind to wade through the basics and priorities of the office. If you are a health and fitness buff you do your callisthenics. If you believe in inner strength you shall continue meditation. If you are sick you need to take your medicine and few breathing exercises as well. Whatever you do you must bring your body and mind together. Focus on the work at hand and then work for the results
Civil Dawn
Astronomy
This dawn takes place 24 minutes before the sunrise time at your locality. Let us assume your sun rise time is 6.12 a.m. By deducting 24 minutes you will clock at 5.48 a.m. This time is known as “Civil Dawn”. This dawn lasts from 5.48 a.m. till sunrise at 6.12 a.m. During this 24 minutes time slot you observe what we call as “Civil Twilight” where you can see things on earth somewhat clearly and bright stars and planets. This is the best time to view both Venus and Mercury provided these planets are just in the horizon. You can also see bright stars such as Sirius. The streak of light from the upper atmosphere lit up the earth fairly well. As you progress towards sunrise you can see the objects in their perspective along with the colour perception
Cosmics
The animal and plant kingdom is brimming with activities: you see the humming bird; you hear the drone of bees and hornets as they whistle past. The world awaits the day break; crimson red rays of the sun quietly fall on the leaves and fruits over the trees and wade through the waterways. Sirens of vehicles are heard and the tempo of activity in your vicinity continues to rise faster. The breakfast is being made and your family is up and running. You sense the warmth of the Sun and feel that the pulse and heartbeats move to higher bands. You are in best fit with an alert mind and equally toned-up physique and look forward to the busy time ahead in your office or business. There is a sense of belonging coupled with the warmth of the day break; that too happens amidst the clearing of the morning dew. The dahlia you planted few weeks ago is budding and the nearby roses begin to dance in twilight. For you it marks sweet scent of success
Activities
Have your morning coffee or tea as the case may be but definitely not a swig of liquor. If necessary use the bathroom again. After a cursory glance at the morning newspapers you say to yourself loud “I am ready”. Go about your routines and welcome the day!

Drinking water is too mundane a topic to be discussed in a blog post, so you might think. It is not so. Many of you drink water, and plenty of it. But are you doing it in right manner? This blog post details few tips on how to drink water to facilitate improving your life.
Why should you Drink Water?
Water extinguishes your thirst like nothing else. When you drink water you get nourishment for your system and inner satisfaction which nothing on earth is capable of giving you. Not only that, like diamond cutting diamond water flushes out water. It is like this: your body is made of 70 percent water and at a given time you have a varied quantum of water within you. A part of this water is termed as excess water. If you have excess water, it remains in your body either as still, deep or stagnant water yielding mainly undesirable effects. The only way to flush out this excess water is to drink more water, which once taken in drives out the excess water by way of urination, sweat or faecal matter and rejuvenates the body. More water intake helps all of your organs to function effectively, chiefly amongst these are the kidneys and liver which handle purification, metabolism and other functions. Salt is diluted toxins are flushed out and fat is made soluble by these systems working along with the water you intake. Additionally, your expelling systems work in full capacity enabling you to move your bowels seamlessly and urinate effortlessly.
A healthy and active person requires a maximum of 16 glasses of water where each such glass contains 8 fluids once. However, the normal standard hovers around 8 to 12 glasses per day per person. During hot season you require more water than in the cold season to replace water losses due to sweat or heat absorption. Many of you can drink water just plain; you can also add slices of lemon or lime to savour an appealing taste.
Cosmics of Water
If you have more water in your system you sway others by your speech and actions. Most artists and celebrities have water as their predominant element. Watery person has the ability to listen to others even tough they tend to take decisions on their own. Water helps in intuition, mobility and balance. On the negative side it can make you emotional and tend to act out of your impulse leading to lot of misunderstanding. If you do not drink sufficient quantum of water excess water can stagnate as still, deep or stagnant water and pushes you into cocoon shell as an isolated person. Your active family and business life could be impaired as you start shunning social life. Many of you could suffer from depressions and mood swings as well. Less intake of water gives rise to various diseases and fungus of skin. From an active and leading lifestyle you will be condemned to work on the beck and call of others as a galley slave.
Drink More Water
1. After you awake from sleep in the morning, brush your teeth and then gargle out; thereafter drink one gutful of water that is 4 glasses of water. Allow time slot of 45 minutes to one hour to lapse before you intake anything. If you do this regularly your bowels move easily and toxins within your system are flushed out conveniently
2. Once you reach your office or college, sit down and drink one glass of water before you start working or studying, to re-ignite your system
3. When you return home in the evening after work or study, sit down and drink two glasses of water; allow space of 30 minutes before you intake anything to give you space
4. At normal times you drink during the course of the day, one glass of water on the hour or on 90 minutes interval as the case may be to keep activity and health on even keel
5. When you are sick, drink two glasses of water on the hour for six times during the day; this lessens ill-effects from any type of diseases
6. Whenever you are low in spirits or going through depression take one glass of water add a tea spoon of honey savour with lemon or lime and drink it in three gulps
Drink Less Water
1. Just after swim, shower or bath take 3 mouthfuls of water equivalent to half a glass to get energy flowing into your system
2. Just before the meals intake half glass of water to tune up your appetite; after the meals you must not exceed the quota of half glass of water
3. After engaging in sports or physicals drink half glass of water, have glucose or citrus fruit drink and top up with another half glass of water
4. Whenever you have a fall or injury drink half glass of water preferably with one table spoon of honey mixed with it
5. After taking medicine, unless the doctor has specifically forbidden it, always take half glass of water
Do Not Drink Water
1. Avoid drinking water when your body is bathed in sweat; allow few minutes space
2. Do not drink water inside the kitchen or in front of stove, microwave ovens etc. You should move away from there and spend few minutes before you drink water
3. It is bad do drink water when you are panting a lot due to exercise or walking or due to asthmatic effects
4. Never drink water immediately after engaging in sex acts.

Entry of the Sun into Aries constellation marks a new beginning. It is because when it enters into Aries it completes the annual ecliptical journey across the constellations and come to the point where it originally started. This year the Sun enters into Aries on April 19, heralding good times for all of you. Let me explain in this blog post astronomy and cosmics surrounding this event. As usual, I give you few tips for improving your life.
Astronomy
Long time ago when the Vernal Equinox was in the Aries constellation the Sun used to enter it on March 20. However, due to precession of the Earth the Vernal Equinox point has now shifted to the Pisces constellation. When the Sun enters into Aries constellation on April 19 this year, he has company of both Venus and Mercury who are already there. The Sun is expected to stay in Aries for 25 days till May 13. Aries is one of the seven constellations where the Sun spends less than 30 days. Other six constellations are: Cancer, Libra, Scorpio, Ophiuchus, Capricorn and Aquarius. Out of these, Ophiuchus is a non-zodiacal constellation.
Cosmics
The entry point for the Sun into Aries is located at the hove of the stretched left foot of the Ram. Having entered Aries, the Sun moves in a fashion cutting through the lower belly of the Ram. In doing so the Sun passes minor stars such as Omicron Arietis, Pi Arietis, Sigma Arietis and Rho Arietis. The only significant star that the Sun passes in proximity is Botein (Delta Arietis).
The entry of the Sun into Aries is welcomed from the time immemorial. This event was celebrated by different cultures as New Year, Spring Festival etc. Originally Sun’s entry into Aries coincided with the Vernal Equinox giving rise to celebrations such as Nowruz. While most of the western world adopted the tropical New Year on March 20, Hindus adopted the sidereal New Year on Mid-April. However, the actual entry of the Sun into Aries was slowly forgotten. I am rekindling interest on the actual event to bring a degree of awareness about the movement of the Sun in terms of astronomy.
The Sun generates both positive and negative cosmics during its stay in Aries constellation:
Positive Cosmics
Ability to face up challenges; willingness to take responsibility; rising to the occasion, give leadership and make others follow you; always take it to the next level; drive, dedication reinforced by physical strength; unswerving leadership; springing for action at any given time; quality of accepting defeat and try again; sportsmanship; helping others in their need are some of the highlights in positive side
Negative Cosmics
Rashness bordering on arrogance; desperado type action against all odds ending in failure and decimation ; insensitivity to the feelings of others; high degree of action orientation sans thoughts and rationality; impulsive nature; first to draw the gun life-style; stubbornness resulting in ignoring dangers or weaknesses are key negatives
Improving Your Life
The following are few hints to optimize your cosmics:
1. Always put your right foot forward, that is, think right, speak right and act right
2. Control your angst and anxiety; tongue and temper; guts and feelings. This is the time for you to go for the meat, but at the same time do it thoughtfully. This applies in your home with family and at your office with business partners and colleagues. You must also take care that peer pressure does not make you lose balance in dealing with subordinates
3. Best time to implement your plan. You observe within your system a sense of going ahead and getting things done during the period. Translate this feeling into action
4. Expand your lifestyle into ruthless work regime with equally fastidious fun and frolic; in other words bring the energy to flow into your vein and go on energizing others to do at your bidding. You must not forget to reward others for doing their part
5. Adopt a win-win approach in your business and family; ensure that you look at some of the things you have not done for the family, say, paying the arrears of the college fees of your son; in your business life, close the deal in selling some of the items that were slow moving during last few months and be prepared to cut loss so that you can free your cash flow.
6. Those of you who need a wee bit of push and personality must choose uplifting your dress style, and colour choice; improve your style of working with others, for example take your admin for a lunch which was long over-due anyway. Few of the gems & crystals that can flip your turn around in your psyche and physics include Red Coral, Bloodstone, Pyrope (Red Garnet), Red Jasper and Rubellite (Red Tourmaline).

New Moon in April 2010 brings a mixed bag of good and bad results; if the business does well family plummets and vice versa. All depend on how you balance both side of the coin. In this blog post let me explain the details of the New Moon in terms of astronomy and cosmics and give you few hints for improving your life.
April New Moon
The New Moon appears at 12.29 (GMT/UTC) on Wednesday 14 April 2010. You have to trace your local time in reference to this.
Astronomy
At this time the Sun and the Moon are more than ten arc minutes apart and any chance of a conjunction is averted. The location of the Sun and the Moon is given below:
The Sun
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 1 hour 30 minutes 35 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) North 9 degree 28 minutes 40 seconds
The Moon
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 1 hour 19 minutes 16 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) North 13 degree 57minutes 33 seconds
The Moon on April 9 is at apogee (farther from the Earth) at about 251,655 miles away. However, by the time it reaches the New Moon stage it has reduced the distance to about 244,657 miles away from the Earth. Illuminated less than 1 percent, the Moon cannot be seen by us. Glare of the Sun apart, the Moon’s illumination is too insignificant for it to be recognized.
Location of the Moon
At the time of the New Moon stage, the Sun and the Moon are in the Pisces constellation while Venus and Mercury are located father east in the Aries constellation. The Moon is seen sitting askance to an imaginary line drawn from east to west comprising the M 74 Spiral Gallery to the east the Star Alpherg (Eta Piscium) in the middle and the Moon on the west. It sights a brilliant star 72 Piscium located towards north-west from the Moon.
Pisces Constellation
The Pisces constellation is drawn like a pair of two fishes. The Western fish is horizontal and the Northern fish is vertical in shape. A string connects both fish. Mythologically the Pisces is connected to Euphrates River. In Greco Roman tradition, Aphrodite (Venus) who is Goddess of Beauty and Eros (Cupid) who is God of Love turned themselves into a pair of fish to escape from the atrocious Typhon who is pursuing them and swam unto the depths of water. In order to stay united they tied their tails together with a string. The Babylonians considered the fish as the Goddess Atagartis emerging out of a giant egg from the depths of Euphrates. Turkic, Persian and Assyrian mythology have alluded to the Pisces constellation in similar vein. Pisces is significant today because the Vernal Equinox point lies within it.
Star 72 Piscium
A luminous white to yellow giant, the star 72 Piscium is located 178 light years away from the Earth. Visual magnitude of this star is estimated at 5.64. The star 72 Piscium is classified under the spectral type of F4 II-III. This star is one of the minor stars in the Pisces constellation; its location to the right of the tail of the northern fish is very auspicious though.
Lunar Mansions
The New Moon arises in the twenty-eighth Lunar Mansion (Arabic Al-Manzil al- Qamar) of “Al-Batn Al-Hut” (The Belly of the fish). This lunar mansion is the last of the 28 lunar mansions and deemed to shower mixed results. The lunar mansion teaches you to be balanced in attitude and approach. You like a pendulum would swing between: family and business; risk taking and risk aversion; danger and safety; poor in cash-flow or plenty of money coming and so on.
Cosmics
Both the Sun and the Moon traversing through Pisces constellation help bringing you to the much needed equilibrium. In theory, the cosmics of the Sun as a hot and dry planet and the cosmics of the Moon as a cold and moist planet should lead you to safeguard your balanced approach in anything you do. It is all the more important that the Moon herself is posited in the lunar mansion of the belly of the fish cajoling you to be fair and balanced in your dealings. For students and senior citizens above the age of 60 years it is good time for relaxation as well as concentration. Those who suffer from chronic or severe illness could expect much relief and those who brag of their physical fitness could see their expectations dashed.
Improving Your Life
The following hints are sketched for you to go on improving your life under the circumstances:
1. Learn rope walking; this you do it figuratively, that is always keep your balance till the next full moon lest you fall into dangerous alleys
2. Marital happiness and family unity are major strengths you have in this season; if everybody keeps cool the family ship floats well
3. Do you have travel-crazy lifestyle? If yeas this is your hoped for season; go around your environs and see what is happening there. Both domestic and foreign travels are strongly recommended
4. Mixed bag of results could give you either delight or disappointment; whatever the result may, take in your good stride, hope for the best and put your shoulders to the wheel in steering the course of your business/career and family to successful ends
5. Hot and dry moist ambience prevails outside and you have to keep yourself cold and dry inside
6. New ventures or start-ops should not be initiated during this phase; may be you should postpone it for few weeks. Nevertheless, business in farming, trade and light industry could do better
7. Excellent time for sex and marriage
8. The colour spectrum works on graduated scales without any interruption. It ranges from red, orange, yellow, green and blue and in that order as you see in the prism of the sunlight. You can use any of these colours in your dresses. Get any of these colours into your system in the form of fruits and vegetables
9. The effect of the New Moon lasts for a fortnight in general; for the first week it is intense but peters off as it reaches the Full Moon stage some 14.8 days after the New Moon
10. Good time for educational pursuits and seeking medical assistance; bad time for entrusting money or responsibility to your servants or subordinates
11. As regards to Gems & Crystals, the range is wide; you can use any of these with hope and glee:
Red: Coral, Garnet, Jasper
Orange: Chalcedony, Hessonite, Sunstone
Yellow: Amber, Citrine, Yellow Topaz
Green: Emerald, Jadeite, Peridot
Blue: Agate, Lapis Lazuli, Tanzanite

It appears and then disappears is what you hear when talking about the planet Mercury. Though a bright planet in the sky, its brightness is lost in the glare of the Sun. Even then the planet has a big role to play in your life. This blog post details facts about Mercury in terms of Astronomy, Legend and Cosmics to enable you to understand Mercury better.
Astronomy
Important astronomy facts of Mercury are given below:
1. Mercury is not a planet that you can view easily; it is there and the next moment it has gone; appears and then disappears the planet got several rubrics such as “elusive planet” “unpredictable planet” and “quicksilver”. There are several reasons for this phenomenon:
# Mercury is too small with a diameter of just 3.032 miles at the centre, something like two fifth of the diameter of the Earth; besides it is somewhat similar to our Moon in size but orbiting much closer to the Sun
# It is in fact the closest planet to the Sun in the planetary kingdom; on average its distance from the Sun is about 36 million miles; at the furthest point in orbit Mercury is around 43.3 million miles away from the Sun whereas at the closest point to the Sun the distance is around 28.6 million miles
# Mercury either rises just before the sunrise low in the east or just after the sunset low in the west
2. Mercury takes about 88 earth days to orbit around the Sun; in doing so it rotates on its axis once in 58.6 days
3. Mercury is the swiftest in the planetary kingdom moving with a speed of 30 miles per second
4. Mercury is too hot, hotter than Venus; in its close proximity to the Sun its temperature hovers around 450 degrees in centigrade while in furthest distance from the Sun its temperature clicks around minus 170 degrees of centigrade. At its height Mercury’s temperature can melt lead while at the lowest temperature it can freeze you
5. It is too hot and dry on the surface of Mercury; there is no oxygen and no atmosphere; however there is water on its north protected from the deep penetrating sunrays, a wonder indeed. Water without oxygen is useless as plants cannot grow
6. Like our Moon, the orbital path of Mercury is oval shape called as elliptical
7. Mercury is the densest planet after the Earth; a person weighing 100 pounds on Earth would weigh at 38 pounds, provided he can get there
8. Mercury is made of 70 % iron in its core which is partially molten and 30 % silicate
9. Like our Moon, there are caters on the surface of the Mercury, which is otherwise rocky
10. If not for the fact its brightness is lost in the glare of the Sun, Mercury is definitely a bright planet when viewed during morning or evening twilight
Legend
1. Mercury has two names; the ancient Greeks thought there are two such planets because Mercury was seen in east and west on different occasions. The morning planet was called “Apollo” whereas the evening planet was called “Hermes”
2. Mercury is said to contain both feminine and masculine qualities; many cultures thought Mercury as a child known for his truancy. So much so, in the Roman traditions Mercury is God of commerce, trade and playful thievery
3. Mercury is deemed a messenger of the Gods, going on its errands, carrying news; it carried along with it a lighted caduceus (a staff with two snakes entwined around it and two wings at the top) to guide souls to the under world
4. In many cultures Mercury is said to represent, intelligence, intuition, inventions, travel, leisure, truancy, carefree behaviour and childishness
5. All these legends led to the English word “Mercurial” which means someone who is an active and lively personality; someone who changes suddenly and unpredictably; someone whose personality undergoes swings in moods; someone whose mind or temper is fast and at the same time volatile
Cosmics
The position of Mercury at the time of your birth is very important to understand the nature of your cosmics, the hidden aspects within you that can influence your lifestyle and facilitate improving your life:
Firstly, you have to find out where Mercury was posited at the time of your birth. Theoretically, Mercury visits 16 constellations in the sky. In addition to the Twelve Zodiacal Constellations where Mercury spends most number of days it also visits Four Non-Zodiacal Constellations: Ophiuchus, Cetus, Orion and Sextant. Mercury in different constellations means different things for you. Mercury in Gemini can make you an intelligent and smart guy and in Virgo it can make you a fashion and lifestyle specialist. On the other hand Mercury in Aquarius turns you a moody scientist who spends lot of time in laboratory
Secondly, you have to find out whether Mercury was in the sky map of your place of birth at the time of your birth. If so, you have to see whether it was rising, culminating or setting in the sky at the time of your birth. A rising Mercury is a sign of brilliance; culminating Mercury leads you to be an accomplished person with mild manners and an easy going lifestyle; setting Mercury, however, can cause tooth related sickness in you
Thirdly, you have to find out whether any phenomenon involving Mercury has taken place at the time of your birth. For example, if there is an inferior conjunction involving Mercury then your business and family life is often clumsy and cloudy; if there is a superior conjunction involving Mercury then it is good news for your business life
Fourthly, if you are born during the Geminids Meteor Shower, you are an evergreen person who savours success.

Lunar Nodes arise when the path of the Moon intersects with the path of the Sun. There are two lunar nodes: ascending and descending. Each node presents opportunities and sometimes threats to you. This blog post explains the lunar nodes in general astronomy and cosmics and describes the ascending and descending lunar nodes for April 2010.
Astronomy
Around the Earth the Sun traverses on a path which we call ecliptical. This path extends to a year in duration. Around the Earth the Moon travels on a path which we call Moon Path. This path extends to les than a month in duration. The Moon path is eliptical to the Sun’s path in that it goes north and south of the Sun’s path. The highest difference between these two paths is bout 5 degrees in latitude.
The path of the Sun and the path of the Moon intersect in two different points called Nodes. One is the Ascending Node which arises when the Moon travels from south to northward direction and where the Moon crosses North to the ecliptic. Hence, the ascending Node is called as North node. The other is the descending node which arises when the Moon travels from north to southward direction where it crosses south to the ecliptic. Hence, the descending node is called as South node. Nodes are basically in opposition to each other. Generally from one node to the other it takes about 14.8 Moon days. Due to the precession, the nodes change in terms of location. Once in every 18.6 years the Nodes complete a rotation called “Nodal Cycle” and arrive at the vernal equinox. The following picture illustrates the lunar nodes:
Lunar Nodes

Cosmics
Generally ascending node is said to shower good time and fortune while descending node may cause disturbances. Cosmic influence of these nodes has been studied by several cultures and civilizations. Depending on the constellation, star, location of the node and the lunation cycle (lunar phase as popularly known) the degree of auspiciousness or severity of distress as the case mat be, would vary. I give below the details of lunar nodes for the month of April 2010 followed by my cosmic advice for improving your life.
Ascending Node April 2010
Date: 6 April 2010
Time: UTC/GMT 09.45
Constellation: Sagittarius
Lunation Cycle: Last Quarter
Star: The moon sights Manubrium (Omicron Sagittarius) on this occasion. The word Manubrium is from Latin meaning “handle”. This giant star is located on the right eye of Sagittarius, the Archer. Though it is located 142 light years away from the Earth, it has been noted as a star of great significance because its close proximity to the ecliptical path of the Sun resulting in frequently being occulted or overshadowed by the Moon. It is a binary star with visual magnitude 3.70 and spectral type of “K0 III”. This star has an eye catching orange colour
Cosmic Advice
1. Use green, red or orange colour
2. Keep out of harmful rays that can damage your eyes; wearing sun glasses is a must
3. Your breathing pattern could change drastically check your pulse and pressure if you have chronic health problems
4. Better to be in hot and moist temperature that can have balming effect as your mind works faster than what the body can bear
5. You have to be damned practical when handling bosses and colleagues and subordinates as your relationship with them is not too smooth; as regards to customers and business partners lot of things would remain
6. The time of ascending node is one out of million chances as the combination of star, constellation and lunar phase oracles good time and positive cosmics. Moreover, there cannot be an excellent time to start or re-start anything in your life, career, family and business on this day of ascending node.
Descending Node April 2010
Date: 20 April 2010
Time: UTC/GMT 13.38
Constellation: Gemini
Lunation Cycle: Waxing Crescent
Star: The moon sights Mekbuda (Zeta Gemini), a super giant also referred to as “Zeta Gem” by astronomers. Mekbuda and Mebsuta are pair of stars in Gemini constellation, noted for love and vitality. Interestingly Mebsuta is just above the ecliptical plane whereas Mekbuda is just below the ecliptical line. This star Mekbuda is located on the outstretched left leg of the twin Pollux who is an immortal and the son of Zeus. This yellow colour super giant is variable star of spectral type “G3Ibv” with visual brightness ranging between 3.7 to 4.2 magnitude. Even though it is about 1,120 light years away its pulsating brilliance brings lingering sense of happiness
Cosmic Advice:
1. Keep out of swimming or submerging your head under water
2. Always occupy the head table in family dinners and business parties
3. Use light blue or crimson red as preferred colours
4. Take lot of care on your feet, knee downwards; special attention must be paid to your left foot; any injury would have lasting effects even though not fatal
5. Those who suffer depression, fatigue or emotional downswings should take extra care
6. Commitment of financial nature should not be made on this day of descending node.

Everyone has consciousness, a state of being that forms his belief, defines his attitude, fashions his thoughts and draws his actions. This state of consciousness is not static but dynamic in that one goes from one stage to the other in ascending or descending order depending on the mental and spiritual development one has achieved or lost as the case may be. In Arabic this state of consciousness is referred to as “Nafs”. There are seven such stages of state of consciousness or Nafs. For simplicity sake let us call this as simply as “Consciousness” as the phrase “State of Consciousness“ is too wordy. Let me explain you the cosmics of each of the seven stages of consciousness with an idea of improving your life.
1. Craving Stage: This stage of consciousness is known in Arabic as “Ammara”. In this state you continue to bring your internal and external dimensions towards the point of achieving your desires, goals and ambitions. Pride, prejudice Impulsion and desire shape your belief and attitude while your thoughts and action could be selfish, rash and of gung-ho nature. Like a pendulum you sway between good and evil. Your aura colour ranges from crimson to spot red. Crimson colour is generated when you are able to manage the basic survival mode popularised by Sigmund Freud as “Id” in a balanced manner; spot red colour is broadcast when you fail to manage the Id
2. Blaming Stage: This stage of consciousness is known in Arabic as “Lawwama”. In this stage your Ego comes into play. You are very conscious of your station of life, your importance and your role in the family, business and society at large. You question the validity of anything and try to relate to your own Ego. You observe and examine everything and everyone around you on subjective manner and take either positive or negative or neutral point of view. If you take positive point of view then you please others, educate them, engage in constructive criticism, focussed on making you and others happy. When you take negative point of view, you criticize others, blame them for the shortcomings of yours as well as theirs; bent on looking at others with contempt; always place you on high moral grounds something like “holier than thou” attitude. When you take neutral point of view you simply do not care what others doing and carry on regardless with what you have. Whatever the point of view is your aura colour is orange and orange it is
3. Inspirational Stage: This stage of consciousness is known in Arabic as “Mulhama”. In this stage your Superego takes the pride of place. While the first two stages were marked by conscious awareness, from this stage onwards you come under what we call as “cosmic awareness”. Your superego guides you to take a stand on what is right and what is wrong. Your central theme is perfection in whatever you do. You subject every person or any matter into objective analysis; you continue to strive for conformity with rules and ethics. You have the ability to handle self examination and evaluate others on even keel. You have sympathy in belief and attitude but always carry a can with you to censure others. To do all these you listen to your inner mind and the outer rims of your soul from where you get all these inspirations. Your auric colour is yellow
4. Tranquil Stage: This stage of consciousness is known in Arabic as “Muthmainna”. In this stage you are cruising on your cosmic awareness. Peace and kindness shape your belief and attitude which is reflected on your desire to be a “do good person”. Your vibrant personality brings many people close to you; you not only in peace with, you but strive to bring peace unto others. Everything looks green for you, brings the pleasant memory. You continue to re-live in hope and confidence bringing rejuvenation in its wake. This stage is where spiritual dawn is breaking out. Your aura colour is green where its ranges in shades including pale green, sea green and turquoise colour
5. Pleased State: This stage of consciousness is known in Arabic as “Raliyya”. In this stage you are cruising at fairly higher levels of cosmic awareness. Faith and hope are the defining aspects of your belief and attitude reflected equally well in your kind thoughts and benevolent actions. You have a great deal of good things such as devotion, friendship sincerity and constancy which you continue to imbibe on others. You are so broad minded that you like to see others progress as much as you have done. You auric colour ranges between sky- blue (Cyan) to spot blue colour
6. Pleasing Stage: This stage of consciousness is known in Arabic as “Marliyya”. In this stage you are soaring at higher levels of cosmic awareness. Your belief and attitude system is based on divine providence guiding you to make your living as useful to others on earth than looking after you. Philanthropy is your hallmark. You are simply wading between secularism and spiritualism. If you plug yourself into spiritualism you continue to soar higher and higher; if you start keeping your foot down on earthy items you will descend and fall like Icarus. Purple is your auric colour
7. Perfect Stage: This stage of consciousness is known in Arabic as “Safiyya”. In this stage you are soaring at very higher levels of cosmic awareness. You are a symbol of perfection, embodiment of the subtle, idol of all what is human. Your belief, attitude, thoughts and action all speak in one voice, the voice of God. To cap it all your aura colour is violet making you a person to be emulated by so many on this earth.

When you relate to your colleagues in your office you consider this as one-to-one relationship. This concept is now found as flawed. Actually there are three relationships: one within you; other between you and your colleagues and another between you and the cosmos. This blog post explains the three dimensions of your relationship to make you understand your cosmics better.
Every one of you have relationship; an equation where you are placed with another person. This is basically one-dimensional. There are more to your relationship than this one dimensional approach. Let me give you a good example. You are in career and you find it difficult to relate to your colleagues, a disability that has been blocking your career advancement for quite sometime. You have gone for counselling, management seminars and your boss was kind enough to give you his time in coaching you how to get away from this nagging problem. Still there are no results. You are exasperated so is your boss. On objective analysis you find that there are underlying issues: one is you as a person; another is how you structure the relationship with your colleagues; yet another is how the stars are influencing you. So you find three dimensions to your behaviour. Understanding these three dimensions help improving your life both in business and in family.
You as a Person
You are not one; there is a trinity within you; body, mind and soul. Each of these functions in different ways.
1. Body is a structure made of bones, flesh, blood and nerves; it has organs, glands enzymes and so on. It can take several forms, dwarf, tall, medium built etc. Within the body there is a current running around; this we call energy; it can take one or more of the elements: fire, air, water and earth with spirit as a connecting or overseeing one
2. Mind on the other hand is a reservoir of emotions, feelings, urges, sensations, perceptions, memories, thoughts, fantasies and intuition. Mind can function in different planes: rambling and in unorganized manner or focussed and in organized manner
3. Soul lies outside these two; it is full of inspiration, devotion, fidelity, friendship, trusts and confidence. Some writers call soul as your conscience; a directive process that distinguishes between right and wrong; moral and immoral
In order to link your body, mind and soul you are blessed with what we call “Cosmics” matters that remain within you but unknown to you. Positive cosmics make your body, mind and soul trinity work to the best of advantage; negative cosmics mar the interactions between and amongst this trinity. Your first duty is to identify the negative cosmics and eliminate or neutralize these; secondly you must enhance and optimize your positive cosmics. When you complete these two steps there would be positive result in your life and lifestyle.
You and Your Colleagues
As I said earlier you are always placed in an equation: you are placed along with another living being, thing or matter, ambience or simply an idea. Let us take the relationship between you and one of your woman colleagues; you have cosmics and she has cosmics. You are fond of giving orders; she detests someone giving orders. Firstly, you have to find about her personality, nature, feelings and level of skills in interacting with others. Secondly you have to tone down your bossy attitude to that of a peer oriented one. Then you must find a via media between an order and a request. You have to hone your skills in communication and inter-personal relationship so as to make an order appear as a honey-command. However, it does not mean that every time you should curtsy her like Japanese do. What is necessary is to go smooth most of the time with occasional pandering for a change.
You and the Cosmos
Every person born on Earth is given a Cosmic Profile. The sky chart that prevailed in his birth place at the time of his birth indicates the alignment of the celestial bodies. These celestial bodies are known as “cosmos” and consist of stars, planets, comets, clusters and other celestial phenomena. These celestial bodies impact and influence you from the time of your birth by shaping, directing and guiding your destiny throughout your life. You have to look at the relationship between you and cosmos and find the right cosmics that work for you. For example if you are born when Venus is rising you must get into business such as music, films, entertainment, arts and leisure. On the other hand if the star Antares is rising at the time of your birth you should join the army.

Full Moon March 2010 chimes good time to people around the globe. In this blog post let me explain the details of the Full Moon in terms of astronomy and cosmics and offer you few tips for improving your life.
Astronomy
1. Full Moon: The Full Moon appears at 02.25 UTC/GMT on Tuesday, 30 March 2010. You have to trace your local time in reference to this time.
2. Location: At the time the Moon is located at:
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 12 hour 22 minutes 37 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) South 8 degree 17minutes 03 seconds
3. Constellation: Virgo
4. Illumination: 99.91 per centum
5. Perigee: This is the point where the Moon is closest to the Earth in its revolution. The Moon reached the Perigee point two days prior to the full moon day, that is, on March 28, at 04.57 UTC/GMT when its distance from the Earth was around 224,860 miles. At the time of Full Moon, the Moon is moving away from the perigee point; consequently the pulling power, in fact, recedes
6. Surrounding Planet: Saturn on the North- East in Virgo constellation
7. Lunar Mansions: At the time of Full Moon, it is located in the Thirteenth Lunar Mansion (Arabic: Al-Manzil Al-Qamar) of “Al-Awwa”, which means “the Barker”. This is one of the 28 lunar mansions and said to be auspicious
8. Galaxy: At this time the Moon is on direct line of sight with Sombrero Galaxy known as M 104 and NGC 4594 on the south- east direction. The Galaxy got its name as it appears similar to sombrero hat popularised by the Mexicans and worn by cowboys or riders on horseback to get sun-shade under its broad brim. The sombrero Galaxy is located at some 50 million light years away and is known for its outline of thick dark rim of bright dust lane and a large central bulge, both have given the galaxy great prominence. Its nucleus is said to contain several hundred globular cluster of stars. Recently, it was found that the galaxy has an extended halo. Its red cosmic colour is eye-catching. Though its brightness is around 8.0 of magnitude to us on Earth, considering its distance it must be truly amazing and bright galaxy of the world. The magnificent view of Sombrero Galaxy is photographed by Wendelstein Observatory in Germany:
Source: http://www.wendelstein-observatorium.de:8002/astropics/sombrero.jpg
Cosmics
The combined effect of the Full Moon in the circumstances described above gives both positive and negative cosmic results:
Positive Cosmics: More emphasis on new beginning, expansion and exploration less importance on reasoning and calculation; profit and cash-flow on the rise; time to allow liberties of mind and flesh so that pent-up emotions get an outlet; loosening of limbs is good; time to spend moments with family and friends amidst the busy schedule; indicates decisions are made with a discerning mind
Negative Cosmics: Heat outside and cold and dry inside could sap your energy to some extent; this is extended ostensibly too many of your actions where you cannot bring equanimity between your internal and external environment. If family is doing well business declines; if business goes up family happiness comes down. Loosening of morals must be checked
Improving Your Life
Few tips for improving your life till the next New Moon are given below:
1. Expand your ideas and horizon and bring more joy to your lifestyle
2. Control your cash-flow but at the same time never hesitate to spend for family lest you mar happiness
3. Buy sombrero hat to have shadow under the sun; in similar vein start building home and new venture to give shelter and enhanced cash flow
4. For those in politics, time to be bold and brush away inhibitions and prejudice; this would silence your doubting friends and scare your berating enemies; for those in higher administration in public and private sectors, time to move with the band wagon and sign up on the dotted lines
5. There cannot be a good time like this for both marketing and operational guys; go gusto
6. Women can celebrate their femininity with vivaciousness and those who have sexual debilitations should opt for phallus worship as done in Greek and Hindu traditions
7. Men must engage more in being together with their loved ones; loners must spend little time surveying pictures of maidens
8. Success is shown for those engaged in agriculture, farming and production industry; service industry takes somewhat of back seat though
9. For business men new partnerships or new ventures in basic industry such as food, clothing and durables are best plays
10. Use lot of red in your system: red colour, red vegetables, fruits with red chunks inside are the best for you
11. Go for an aroma bath once in five days; for men Lemon or Juniper on Sandalwood base is recommended; for ladies Jasmine and Gardenia on Sandalwood base could do well
12. As regards to Gems & Crystals, any red gems are good for this season: Rubellite (red Tourmaline) Pyrope (red Garnet) and Bixbite (red Emerald / red Beryl); others include red Spinel, red Jasper, Ammolite, Fire Agate & Fire Opal; those who can afford can opt for Ruby or Sapphire.

Auras are shades of colours generated and projected by you at different levels of your growth and development. Though auras change in shades to reflect the current situations in which you are in the overall trend colour remains broadly in line with the level of physical, mental and spiritual development you have achieved. This blog post explains the seven colours of aura and the related cosmics.
What is Aura?
Aura is a cosmic colour generated and projected by fields of energies located within you. Like smoke arising from fire auras arise from the cosmic energy fields in you. These energy fields relate to cosmic energies arising from your physical, mental and spiritual side. These fields are located in the base chakra, heart chakra and soul chakra respectively. Base chakra is just below the navel; heart chakra is on the left side of your chest and soul chakra is on the right side of the chest. Base chakra is red in colour, heart chakra is of yellow colour and soul chakra shines in blue colour. These colours are also known as basic colours as millions of derivative shades of colours can be generated by mixing these three base colours. Inside the human body these cosmic colours and the respective chakras work in combination to spawn seven types of auras in men. I am explaining the seven auras and profile the personality of men who carry each of these auras.
1. Red Aura
Red is a primary colour and represents the totality of physical energy. A person’s red aura could range from crimson red to spot red depending on the level of physical energies generated. Such people are driven by the mind frame known as Id popularised by Psychologist Sigmund Freud. This mind frame makes them to seek pleasure and avoid pains. Hence red aura is all about craving lifestyle. Based on desire and yearning to satisfy such desire men with red aura shape their internal and external dimensions on basic, animal or survival instincts. Fire as the predominant element props you all the time. Enthusiasm, ability, power and passion along with heightened sexuality are your hallmarks. On the flip side there is anger, rage, violence or don’t care attitude
2. Orange Aura
Orange is a derivative colour from the mixture of red and yellow; orange has the power and personality from red and knowledge and wisdom from yellow. It is a colour that balances yin and yang energy in a typical fashion. Physical warmth together with mental desire projects orange aura within your system. Your mind frame is Ego popularised by Sigmund Freud and your predominant element is water serving you as a floating personality. You are toasted as a result getter, serious business guy and a committed family man. Ironically your main energy relates to your sexuality, as a result you are extremely popular amongst the opposite sex a fact that can cut both ways like a knife. But on the downside, orange is full of contradictions. You get praise or blame the latter more from your own sex; consequently you blame others for your folly or fall
3. Yellow Aura
Yellow is a primary colour; it brings you to the pinnacle of the power of mind. Yellow has the quality of equalizing and collating many issues into a single plane. The colour acts as moderator, equalizer, eliminator and builder. It moderates sex and lust; equalizes your thoughts and actions; eliminates your depression; finally it builds up your energy. Yellow is generated by persons who have Superego mind frame as popularised by Sigmund Freud flying with air element. This makes you soar in thoughts and rational sentiments. You are rule minded and maintain standards and ethics. The negatives have terrible consequences: depression, sickness, swinging moods and rebellion
4. Green Aura
Green is a derivative colour from the mixture of yellow and blue; green has the luxury of power of mind from yellow and the expansive features of the colour blue including Inspiration , devotion, fidelity, friendship, trusts and confidence. Green aura is generated by persons who have their Superego mind frame working in conscious state of mind; besides their predominant element is earth. The aura can range from pale green to sophisticated and silhouetting sea- green or turquoise colour shades. Green embodies rejuvenation; represents peaceful mind; vibrant personality, luscious lifestyle. It represents material betterment and spiritual blessings. You always move in stable manner, calm and quiet believing in your work as a ritual. You continue improving your life in every step you take. The big drawback is green can also means inaction, letting opportunities pass, put it other way “No Show” when something is really needed
5. Blue Aura
Blue is a primary colour; blue is all about soul; it is an expansive and long standing colour too; features that besot blue are endless: transparency, trust, confidence Inspiration, devotion, fidelity, friendship, bond, sincerity and sophistication and more. If you have Superego working in cosmic conscious mind then you will project blue aura. Moreover, the aura ranges between sky- blue (Cyan) to spot blue. Constancy is your hallmark and you make every effort to bring cheer to lives of many whom you come across. A major cons is that you are always cheated by others and by the same token you always pardon them in the name of God
6. Purple Aura
Purple is a derivative colour from the mixture of red and blue; if it is bluer we call it Indigo and if it is redder we call it pink. Can red and blue ever be mixed? Because red is about aggressiveness and instability whereas blue is passiveness and stability. The world need to have both so we have this magnificent colour called purple. When your Superego is at prime condition and your cosmic conscious mind is at heightened state you project purple aura. Purple enables you to wade between secularism and spiritualism; you start to see the hidden knowledge. It can be a test or trap depending on your focus; if you succeed you move towards mysticism; if you are trapped you become an out and out clairvoyant
7. Violet Aura
Violet is a derivative colour from the mixture of red and sky- blue (Cyan); violet the coolest colour of all can read and understand hidden matters like a violet lamp. If you are a person with Superego functioning at the best and cosmic conscious mind at the highest point you generate violet aura. You are an embodiment of the Subtle; a blessed soul; man of infinity. You have perfect control of all your elements. You heal sickness, expel evil, bring forth peace, and energize everyone whom you touch or speak to. You answer the last stanza of the Poem “If” by Rudyard Kipling:
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings – nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And – which is more – you’ll be a Man, my son!

Around 200 million people world wide celebrate Nowruz, the spring festival. Let us join them and celebrate the coming of spring into our homes. This blog post explains Nowruz in general terms and gives a check list of how you can celebrate Nowruz and starts improving your life.
What is Nowruz?
Nowruz is a festival to welcome the season of spring. Originally started in Persian traditions Nowruz is now celebrated by more than 200 million people globally. Earlier, Nowruz festivities commemorated the Sun moving from the Pisces constellation into the Aries constellation on the Vernal Equinox. However, in terms of astronomy today, Vernal Equinox or the movement of the Sun to the point of zero in celestial longitude and latitude is in the Pisces constellation and not in Aries constellation. This year the Vernal Equinox takes place at 17.32 UTC/GMT on Saturday 20 March 2010.
Generally known as the Persian New Year, Nowruz is celebrated in Persian and allied cultures for more than 5,000 years. Considering the fact that Nowruz is celebrated in more than 30 countries, United Nations has accorded its recognition to Nowruz as a holiday of cultural significance. Nowruz celebrations are seen primarily in Iran and countries in Central Asia such as Kurdistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Eastern Turkmenistan (Sinkiang) and Uzbekistan. In south Asia it is a noted festival in India, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Kashmir. Turks, Kurds and Armenians join together to make Nowruz a memorable and national day in Turkey even though the Turkish Government does not officially recognize it. Syria, Armenia, Crimea, Georgia and other parts of Caucasus do have various cultural activities lined up for this day. People in Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia and Macedonia in the Balkans also take part in festivities connected with Nowruz. Moreover, diasporas from Armenia and Iran living elsewhere continue their traditions of Nowruz. Followers of Zoroastrar and Bahaullah world wide mark Nowruz as a day of great religious significance. Nowruz is also a day of remembrance for Shiaite sects such as Alawites and Albanian Takkes.
Nowruz is spelt something like 21 ways because of this ethnic and cultural diversity. In Turkey it is Nevruz, Uighurs call it Noruz while Kurds call it Nuroj. Starting from the Vernal Equinox, festivities continue for 12 days and on the thirteenth day people go outdoors to complete the cycle of this annual event.
How can you take part in Nowruz?
The following are few recommendations for you to take part in celebrating the spring festival:
1. Generally you can spruce op your home by cleaning, clearing and arranging and may be giving a face lift. This sprucing is called as “spring cleaning “in the west; this is the time to bring zing into your lifestyle
2. You can buy new clothes for you and your family
3. Flowers and bouquets containing hyacinth and tulip are brought home at the beginning to enhance positive cosmics and for improving your life and that of your family
4. You can light bonfire in your front yard; traditionally this bonfire is lit on the Wednesday preceding the Vernal Equinox day
5. As Vernal Equinox arrives you can lay a table known as “Haft Sin”. Thereafter you can decorate the table with beautiful clothes spread over it and keep few items over the table. Originally there were seven items coinciding with the seven planets; later two more were added. You can select either seven items or nine items as you please; I have given the entire nine items along with the traditional Persian Nowruz names against each one in brackets:
5.1 Wheat or Barley sprouts in a dish, clay or metal pot (Sabzeh) – for rejuvenation;
5.2 Dried fruits of oleaster, or fig or similar tree (Senjed) – for love
5.3 Sweet pudding made form wheat or oats (Samanu) – for affluence
5.4 Few coins (Sekkeh) – for wealth
5.5 Apples (Sib) – for beauty and health
5.6 Garlic (Sir) – for medicine
5.7 Hyacinth plant (Sonbol) for growth and equanimity
5.8 Sumac or multi colour berries (Somaq) – for rainbow and sunrise
5.9 A bottle of Vinegar (Serkeh) – for age, maturity and patience
6. You can keep a fish bowl with golden or colourful fish within to give zest and variety. This bowl can be placed on the table or nearby it
7. Keep few watermelons as nothing is complete in this heated ambience until you have water melons and lot of these with you. We enact the Zoroastrian custom and practice of eating the reddish inner chunks of this great fruit
8. The festivities last for 12 days and end with an outing on the thirteenth day. The following are few items on the agenda:
8.1 On the first part of six days look outward by visiting elders and relations in your neighbourhoods; exchange gifts and presents with them; invite them to visit you and get the cosmics from the table you have laid for Nowruz. It is also worthy to note that the sixth day is the birthday of Zarathushthra known in the west as Zoroaster
8.2 On the second part of six days look inwards by concentrating on improving your life and lifestyle; Young un-married girls should tie grass in knots and tie it on the right wrist to get good husbands; young un-married men could keep honey or candy overnight to be collected on the following day to get beautiful wives. Businessmen could tie coins in a red cloth and hang it to foster business; hyacinth also helps to do the same
8.3 The ending of Nowruz is scheduled on the thirteenth days when your entire family can go out door to enjoy both inward and outward looking. Known as “Sizdah Bedar” meaning "thirteen outdoors” this outing arises from the ancient Persian tradition of twelve zodiacal constellations controlling 12 months in a calendar and anything outside could be calamitous or could bring bad luck; in order to avoid such eventualities you move away from your home. Therefore the entire family goes outdoors to fairly a distant place and spends the thirteenth day there
9. Throughout the 12 days you light an oil lamp at the time of sun down each day; the element of fire is ranked first in the seven elements ancient Persians believed in: fire, air, water, earth, plants, animals and humans.

This year Vernal Equinox arrives on Saturday March 20 chiming with bells of alarm. Dogs of war are chasing some countries; unrest is raising its head elsewhere. For men and women it brings confusion and misjudgement. This blog post explains why you should take care on the basis of astronomy and cosmics relating to the Vernal Equinox.
Astronomy
This year the Vernal Equinox takes place at 17.32 UTC/GMT on Saturday 20 March 2010. You have to trace your local time in reference to this.
The Sun
On this date the Sun touches the celestial equator at 00.00 degree both in longitude and latitude, as it journeys from south to northward direction. Put it the other way, the Sun is on zero point in terms of Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) and Declination (Celestial Latitude). The word vernal means spring whereas the word equinox means equal day and night as most parts of the globe experience almost similar length of night and day time. Spring is observed in the northern hemisphere while in the southern hemisphere it is fall or autumn. The Vernal Equinox point is now in the Pisces constellation. The Sun is in Pisces constellation along with planets Venus, Mercury and Uranus during this equinox.
The Star: Omega Piscium
On the north of the Sun is the star “Vernalis” whose Latin title means “Star of the spring”. Astronomically, this star is called as Omega Piscium; the alphabet Omega is the 24 th and the last one in Greek alphabet. It is technically the last star in the Globe of 24 hours with the highest Right Ascension (RA) of 23 hours 59 minutes 50 seconds, just about 10 seconds to the Vernal Equilibrium of Zero point of RA. Vernalis is a solitary, dwarf, sub-giant of yellowish – white hue with moderate brightness at 4.0 magnitude. It belongs to the spectral type of “F5IV “. Located some 106 light years away and with a surface temperature of 6,600 Kelvin it is about 20 times luminous as our Sun and about 1.75 of it size. There are three important characteristics of this star:
1. Its location makes Omega Piscium the first star to be seen as one steers toward the east from the famous Circlet of the Fish Asterism in the Pisces constellation
2. It is the last star to be noted before we reach the Vernal Equinox point of zero in the Celestial Longitude and Celestial Latitude
3. Due to the precession of the Earth, by the time of Vernal Equinox of 2013, Omega Piscium would reach the zero pint in Right Ascension and Declination and would be precisely overhead to the Sun; a remarkable event eagerly looked for by all of us.
The Moon
At this moment the Moon has just entered Taurus constellation and has arrived at the third lunar mansion (Arabic Al-Manzil al- Qamar) of “Al-Thurayya” (The Many Little Ones). This lunar mansion is of mixed nature out of the 28 lunar mansions. Whenever the Moon is in this mansion it generates both positive and negative vibrations in equal proportions.
Mars
The way Mars behaves at this time raises eye-brow. Whenever Mars gets beyond the Earth’s tilt it is considered as an “Out of Bound” planet. The current tilt of the Earth is computed as 23 degrees and 29 minutes. Though all six planets theoretically can go out of bound in the celestial latitude known as “ Declination” it is Mars and the Moon that do it often and give rise to tension and head-aches to many.
According to Jeffrey Brock Mars is out of bound from the Earth’s axial degree of 23 degrees and 29 minutes for the period February 13 to March 15. During this period Mars as the God of War reached the maximum of 23 degree and 50 minutes. Please note that March 15 is denoted as “Ides of March”. On the day of Vernal Equinox, Mars has come within the axial degree and is known as “In bound” planet. At this moment its declination is at 8 degree 15 minutes and 29 seconds.
But the danger has not abated yet. Mars is dangerously poised in direct line of sight where it sees to the south west Procyon (Alpha Canis Minoris) also known as the “Lttle Dog” and Sirius (Alpha Canis Majoris) dubbed as the Dog Star. On the opposite side Mars is almost in direct line cutting the star Regulus and the sprawling planet Saturn on the south-east direction.
Accidental war could break out or extreme international tension would prevail for the period from the Vernal Equinox date till about the time of the arrival of New Moon on April 14.
Cosmics
Having analysed the position of the planets the following are highlights of cosmics given under two broad classifications: positive and negative cosmics:
Positive Cosmics: Lot of energy generated within you, even though much of it is dissipated due to extreme hot and dry condition in the ambience. Implementation of plans shall take place during this period. You observe a sense of going ahead and getting things done. You experience increasing tempo within business that commensurate with rising level of business demand; same thing prevails in the family tallying with several family engagements
Negative Cosmics: Fiery nature together with hastiness might mar your progress both in business and family undertakings; Health is medium; stormy mind and restless nature could sap more cosmic energy
Improving Your Life
The following are brief recommendations to help you tide over the situation:
1. Bring more patience into your lifestyle
2. Take it cool; do not let your angst and anger spill over to others; keep yourself out of trouble spots
3. Do lot of breathing exercise; you will be out of breath most of the times
4. Understand how to relax yourself; may be you should take few days off from your busy schedule; may be you should do lot more gardening, mixing earth with water; plant new saplings; uproot dried and dead ones, weeding & spurning etc. For out door activity select visiting mountains or sauntering in fruit orchards or slumbering in woods that bud early flowers
5. Use combination of colours including white, blue, red, yellow along with little black shade in your dress and clothes
6. Take care when you are making judgement, as the chance of negligent judgement is high; a state of confusion, quarrel and disputes is observed; this applies to both in your office and in the home front
7. Busy time for farmers and agriculturists and good time too
8. For those in politics, tendency to take decision on the spur of the moment is shown; for those in higher administration in public and private sectors, avoiding hasty decision is better option
9. Boon time for brokers, intermediaries, agents and those who travel to make a living
10. For women and senior citizen more onion and garlic would be required
11. Relish lot of sweets and sweet fruits; take more radish and eggplant when it comes to vegetables
12. Fruit essence for men is blueberry; for women it is Cherry. Follow the instructions on the bottle; use two to three bottles consecutively

New Moon in March 2010 reflects a great degree of expectations in you about your business and family. What is the chance of these hoped for items materializing? In this blog post let me explain the details of the New Moon in terms of astronomy and cosmics and give you few hints for improving your life.
March New Moon
The New Moon appears at 21.01 (GMT/UTC on Monday 15 March 2010. You have to trace your local time in reference to this.
Astronomy
At this time the Sun and the Moon are more than five arc minutes apart and any chance of a conjunction is averted. The location of the Sun and the Moon is given below:
The Sun
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 23 hour 42 minutes 16 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) South 1 degree 55 minutes 12 seconds
The Moon
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 23 hour 36 minutes 55 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) North 2 degree 10minutes 34 seconds
The Moon on March 12 is at apogee (farther from the Earth) at about 252,382 miles away. However, by the time it reaches the New Moon stage it has reduced the distance to about 248,897 miles away from the Earth. Illuminated less than 1 percent, the Moon cannot be seen by us. Glare of the Sun apart, the Moon’s illumination is too insignificant for it to be recognized.
Pisces Constellation
At the time of the New Moon stage, there are four planets in the Pisces constellation: The Sun, the Moon Venus and Mercury. The last two planets are to the eastern direction; Venus being much farther from the location of the Moon.
Pisces is significant today because the Vernal Equinox point lies within it pretty close to the star Iota Piscium
Star Iota Piscium
A unique star located on the neck of the western fish, Iota Piscium has a visual magnitude of 4.10 along with a spectral type of “F7V”. It is a white to yellow dwarf main sequence star located about 45 light years away. About 3.3 times luminous than the Sun it is wee bit bigger than the Sun. The star is considered to be unique and enigmatic for the following reasons:
1. It is one of the seven stars that form the Circlet of Fish Asterism. This asterism connects all seven stars from the mouth of fish towards its neck. The stars are: Gamma, Beta, Theta, Iota, Lambda, Kappa and 19 Piscium all in the Western fish within the Pisces constellation
2. Iota Piscium is the star that starts the cord that connects the head of the Western fish to its own tail. Moreover, the cord runs from Iota Piscium to the Northern fish as well
3. Vernal Equinox is located just below the star on the south-easterly direction
4. Lot of expectations about the star Iota Piscium never materialized:
a) It was considered as a variable star but changes of its luminosity is yet to be determined
b) It was considered to have planets rotating around it; nothing was ever found
c) It was considered to have stars in orbit around; still illusionary
Lunar Mansions
The New Moon arises in the twenty-fifth Lunar Mansion (Arabic Al-Manzil al- Qamar) of “Al-Saad Al-Ahbiyah” (The Fortune of the Hidden). This lunar mansion is fairly negative out of 28 lunar mansions, and dashes the hopes of many. Although you see progress in life lot of these could be transient. Cosmic interference in your affairs is heavily pronounced during this cycle of Moon. The severity abates as Sun passes the Vernal Equinox and could disappear completely by the time of Full Moon stage a fortnight later.
Cosmics
Both the Sun and the Moon traversing through Pisces constellation along with Venus and Mercury as partners help bringing you much needed equilibrium. In theory, the cosmics of the Sun as a hot and dry planet and the cosmics of the Moon as a cold and moist planet should lead you to safeguard your balanced approach in anything you do. In practice, it depends on how you face up to the given situations and tone down your expectations. The only area where you can get best results is in your health. If you suffer from chronic or severe illness go full swing and get the best medical treatment. Even for those who have terminal illness, this New Moon could bring hoped for cure at best or mitigation of suffering at worst.
Improving Your Life
1. Like what dig. com says “Patience, my friend, is a good virtue”
2. Avoid family disunity or business break-downs; do not let one spouse bringing the roof down
3. Travel-crazy lifestyle helps if you are going abroad; even for domestic travel it does help taking out the boredom away and keep you away from trouble spots
4. Bagful of expectations need to be whetted during the course of this New Moon; do not get disappointed when hoped for results are not forthcoming
5. Hot and dry climate prevails outside and you have to cool yourself much more
6. Yellow with black border in upper garments is the colour combination recommended for many; women should relish dresses that fuses both these colour shades in top and bottom dresses
7. Modest lifestyle is recommended so as to uplift the sense of patience and neutralize the angst and anger within you
8. Get more of yellow colour into your system: eat more yellow vegetables; savour fruits that are yellowish; sweets and pudding in yellow are ok
9. The effect of the New Moon lasts for a fortnight in general; for the first week it is intense but will peter off as it reaches the Full Moon stage some 14.8 days after the New Moon
10. Good time for educational pursuits and seeking medical assistance; not ideal to start romance or getting married
11. As regards to Gems & Crystals, yellow gems are good for this season: Yellow sapphire, Yellow topaz, Lemon topaz, Citrine, Garnet and Beryl could do fine. Beautiful Agate, Black Onyx, Black Spinel and Rainbow Obsidian are emphasised for those who like black hue.

When Orion rises in the east, his raised arm carrying the magnificent shield is the first thing that strikes you. If you are born under the Orion Shield then your lifestyle is outstanding. In this blog post I am etching out for you few details of the Orion Shield in terms of its astronomy and cosmics.
Astronomy
1. Orion Shield
The shield is located on the upper right of the Orion constellation where the mighty Orion carries it in his raised arm. Pliny considering the significance of Orion Shield described it as a separate constellation. Besotted with great stars in a vertical string the shield is the first to rise in the east when Orion appears after his daily slumber. There are six stars: Bayer classified these as Pi 1 to Pi 6 Orionis. Out of these six stars Pi 3 Orionis is in the west most direction, hence is the first to rise in the east followed by Pi 2, Pi 4, Pi 5, Pi 1 and finally Pi 6 with all of them having the name Orionis behind the respective numbers. It is not surprising that Pi 3 Orionis became the focus of the Orion Shield and subject of study by astronomers for centuries.
2. Common Name: Tabit
Pi 3 Orionis the lead star in the Orion shield was named as ‘Tabit” from Arabic” Al-Tabit” meaning “Endurer”. In Persian the title “Al-Taj” meaning a “Crown” is alluded to this star. Al-Sufi, Tenth century Persian-Arab astronomer ascribed the name “Al- Manica” a corruption from Latin “Mantle” meaning the cloth covering the gauntlet that Orion holds. Other aliases in Arabic are “Al-Kum” (Sleeve of the Garment) and Al-Dhawahib (Pendant). Many later day astronomers described the string of stars as a trophy of the Lion’s hide Orion holds in his right hand. A picture of Orion constellation in Urania’s Mirror published in 1825 shows this presentation. The name Orion Shield, however, has struck as the popular name for the widely scattered group of stars. Moreover, the name Tabit given to Pi 3 Orionis turned out to be the common name for all of the six stars in the Orion shield.
3. Component Stars
The six components stars can be traced between Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) at 4 hours 50 minutes 24 seconds to 4 hours 59 minutes 5 seconds to the east and Declination ( Celestial Latitude) at North 1 degree 43 minutes 44 seconds to 10 degrees 9 minutes 59 seconds towards the north. I am not giving individual tracing locations for these stars due to want of space.
Let me give you some details of the six component stars:
Pi 1 Orionis: Located top most in the north, Pi 1 Orionis is a main sequence white dwarf star with a spectral type of “A0V” with a visual magnitude of 4.60 and located 120 light years away
Pi 2 Orionis: Located second most from the north, Pi 2 Orionis is a main sequence white dwarf with a spectral classification of “A1Vn” with a visual magnitude of 4.35 and located 194 light years away
Pi 3 Orionis: Located third most from the north, Pi 3 Orionis is a main sequence yellow-white dwarf star with a spectral type of ‘F6V” with a visual magnitude of 3.15 and located 26 light years away. It has 1.3 times of the mass of our Sun and is about 3 times luminous than our Sun. It is the brightest among the six stars in the shield. Reflected by the surface temperature at 6,400 Kelvin and rotating 2 miles per second the star gives out tepid orange hue
Pi 4 Orionis: Located fourth most from the north, Pi 4 Orionis is a blue to white giant binary star with a spectral type of B2III _ SB and with a visual magnitude of 3.65 and located some 1,260 light years away. Its companion star is a sub giant as hot as the main star rotating in close orbit. The combined effect of both main and companion stars make Pi 4 Orionis about 27, 000 times luminous than our Sun. The surface temperature about 21,000 Kelvin together with its distance from earth makes the star giving us a faded blue hue
Pi 5 Orionis: Located fifth most from north, Pi 5 Orionis is similar to Pi 4 in terms of spectral type but varies only in terms of visual magnitude a little bit higher at 3.70 and distance much farther at 1342 light years away. The surface temperature of the main and companion stars may be about 21,000 Kelvin. Combined mass is equal to about 12 Suns. The main and companion stars rotate very closely to each other, giving us on earth faded blue illumination
Pi 6 Orionis: Located at the bottom of the Orion shield Pi 5 Orionis is the odd man out among the six stars. It is an orange bright giant with a spectral type of ‘K2II Var” indicating the giant star has variable luminosity. At around 4.45 visual magnitude it is almost a faint star like Pi 1 Orionis. Located some 954 light years away it has double distinction: it rises as the last star in the Orion shield; it is also the only orange star just giving orange hue.
Cosmics
You are considered as coming under the influence of the Orion shield if at the time of your birth any one of the six stars is seen in the eastern horizon or culminates overhead in the sky cast over at the time and place of your birth. If a component star in the Orion shield rises in the eastern horizon at the time of your birth Orion Shield is your rising star and if it culminates at the time of your birth Orion shield is your culminating star. In rare cases, one of the component stars can move in the line of sight of the Moon at the time and place of your birth; if this happens Orion shield is your birth star as well.
Positive Cosmics
1. Orion Shield makes you a giant in the field of your choice: career, business or vocation
2. Orion shield gives you dignity reinforced by strength of character together with physical prowess
3. Great degree of self-confidence marks you as an achiever against all odds
4. You are blessed with two boons: a mind that remains alert and a body that remains agile
5. You have the tenacity to endure tests and tribulation in your family life and business life ultimately achieving the goals you have set for yourself
6. You will do extremely well in any career and business that borders on trading of goods irrespective of size and value
7. As Manilus in his Atronomica says you will have “unflagging energy” to meet with any situation.
Negative Cosmics
1. Over-confidence is your Achilles heal; you will be downed by this quality
2. The significant tendency to use violence against colleagues, friends and team mates is observed
3. Pride and prejudice are two aspects that harangue you throughout
4. The chances of others using you for their own benefit is more than the other way around
5. Improving your life requires that you have an ever doubting partner in the family; that can work as check and balance.

A sense of foreboding prevails as Ides of March arrives each year. This is the day Julius Caesar was assassinated. All over the world people consider this day negatively. This year too, Ides of March can have unsavoury implications. In this blog post, let me give you some ideas about Ides of March, astronomy and cosmics surrounding it and few words of caution.
What is Ides of March?
Originally Ides of March was celebrated as a day of dedication to the Roman God of War. In Greek tradition he is the mighty Aries. The phrase Ides of March is derived from Latin “Idus Martias” meaning “Half of March”. It was supposed to be a good time till 44 B.C., when Julius Caesar was assassinated by a group of conspirators at the feet of Pompey. Julius Caesar let himself drawn into his death after defying three portents that forebode the tragedy:
1. His wife Calpurnia pleaded with him not to go to Senate as she saw several visions on the previous night indicating that great harm to befall Caesar
2. The soothsayer Spurinna warned Caesar “Beware of the Ides of March”. When ridiculed and insinuated by Brutus that Ides of March have come and nothing untoward happened Spurinna said “Ides of March have come, but they have not gone”
3. The priest who carried out sacrifice of birds and flocks for the senate meeting got unfavourable omens each time a victim was put on the altar.
See how the tragedy is linked to the number 8:
1. Julius Caesar was killed in the year 44 B.C.
2. He was stabbed by conspirators numbering 62 led by Casca
3. He had 35 stab wounds on his body
Since this day, Ides of March is considered as a day of debt, disease, decay and death throughout the world. The number 8 too got its bad reputation along with it.
Ides of March 2010
This year’s Ides of March falls on a Monday. I have traced the sky chart over London at 12.00 Noon UTC/GMT and found the following in terms of astronomy and cosmics:
1. The planets Sun and Mercury are conjoined in Pisces constellation; the Sun is at Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) of 23 hours 40 minutes and 53 Seconds, whereas Mercury is at 23 hours 46 minutes and 31 seconds
2. From this conjoining location the Moon is to the west and Venus is to the east located in the same constellation of Pisces
3. Mars is in Cancer constellation sighting the well known open cluster M 44 containing more than 350 red and white stars. This cluster is known as beehive cluster while the Romans called it as “Praesepe” meaning “Manger”. Both Romans and Greeks believed that two stars Asellus Borealis (Gamma Canceri) and Asellus Australis (Delta Canceri) are eating the grass in the manger from opposite sides. This cluster is visible from February till May in the northern hemisphere
4. Jupiter is in Aquarius while Saturn is in Virgo constellations
5. The Moon is in the 26 th Lunar Mansion “The First Spout” (Al-Fargh Al-Mukdim) which is deemed as fairly an un-auspicious mansion out of the 28 Lunar Mansions.
What You Should Do?
Having considered the astronomical position of the planets and star and related cosmics arising from the position, I am chalking out the following recommendations to be implemented by you on Monday, March 15, 2010. By following these recommendations you can keep out of harm’s way. Besides these help in improving your life too:
1. As far as possible stay indoors if you are born under Cancer; or if your birthday falls between July 20 to August 10
2. Take care before you lend money to someone; if possible postpone such lending
3. Any personal items such as a car or mobile should not be entrusted upon others
4. You must postpone any surgery scheduled on this date
5. If you are an investor in stocks and bonds, take a day off
6. Avoid long journeys
7. If you have a lifestyle as casino goer or engaged in gambling or games of chance, give yourself a holiday
8. Do not get into late drinking parties
9. Avoid brawls where you could be directly or indirectly involved
10. Believe in your gut feelings and stop listening to your brain. At the same time guard against getting too emotional on any matter
11. Do not allow you to be led into tricky situations concerning colleagues, friends or customers
12. Avoid going for a date, if this is your first one.

An open face is a great equalizer. Because an open face functions constantly in receiving energy from the environment and giving out energy created within your system thereby balancing yourself as you go on. The moment you cover your face this functionality is impaired. In this blog I am describing how the face carries out this function and the related cosmics arising out of it in order to help you improving your life.
Face
Undoubtedly face is the first thing you see when you look at anybody. Forehead, Eyes, Nose, Mouth, Ears and Neck are vital parts of body located on the face or in close proximity thereto. When all these parts are open to the environment, these work in perfect harmony to one another. These sex parts combined together act as a “Great Equalizer” a function that bestows the human body its health and vitality. Propelled by these six parts, face primarily receives cosmic energy from the environment; secondarily it sends out to the environment cosmic energy produced within the human body; thirdly in doing so it balances the entire process of life and living. The function of equalizing involves six related actions: screening, elimination, moderation, absorption, generation and rejuvenation. When the face is not open to the environment it resembles to a plant that is not open to the Sun; after sometime the plant dries of want of sunlight and before long withers away. Let me jot down how the parts on your face make you a great personality.
Forehead
Using the dual actions of generation and rejuvenation, the forehead shines brighter and holier than any parts of the face. It generates electrical, magnetic and telepathic energy that cannot be properly recorded or verified by any scientific equipment. It rejuvenates the face by lighting it up and has the power to magnetize, mesmerize or, dazzle the ambience. Forehead is known to optimize the spirit element within you.
Eyes
“Seeing is believing” goes the saying. You see through your eyes and understand what is happening around you. Eyes are the first level warning signals you have. Any change in the environment is quickly felt by eyes and transmitted to the brain. Sight and glance balanced together, eyes are the vital organs going complete circle as regards to the six actions: screening, elimination, moderation, absorption, generation and rejuvenation. Eyes are known to optimize spirit, fire and water elements within you.
Nose
Some people are described as “having a nose for something” implying an uncanny ability or faculty to detect or recognize something and turn it into their advantages. Nose smells quickly because it deals with air that spreads faster. Breathing is its primary function; smelling is its secondary function. Except for generation nose handles all five actions namely: screening, elimination, moderation, absorption and rejuvenation. When it comes to generation it spews out the air that it has breathed in or expels water or flam collected elsewhere. You cover the nose when you are sneezing or due to foul air around you. Nose is recognized to optimize spirit, air and water elements within you.
Mouth
You keep your mouth shut when you do not want to say or disclose anything; you cover your mouth when a big yawn hovers around it. Other than these circumstances your mouth is open ready and willing; for example when mouth watering food is placed you tend to relish the sense of taste before you have even consumed anything. If you ask an athlete, he will say that he breathes in via the nose and breathes out via the mouth. Like eyes mouth is so versatile and works the full chain of six actions. Mouth is known to optimize fire, air, water and earth elements within you.
Ears
From the school days, you are cajoled to “keep your ear to the ground” meaning that you must keep yourself well informed about what is happening around you. Primarily ears are listening posts that you possess; secondarily ears feel the pitchy cold or extreme hot in the environment. More than that, ears are the ones that shape our gait in walking; balance us when one leg is raised up; keep us aligned when body position is altered. You balance yourself through the ears because you get a sense of balance through the ears. If you go deep in water the eardrums are affected. A closed ear is a definite calamity. What about a deaf one? Just check with any paediatrician, a deaf child takes much longer to start walking. True enough ears are known to optimize the air element only; but in doing so ears bring you to a stable equilibrium an undisputed fact in medical annals. In sum, ears make you adjust to the environment.
Neck
The Neck is unique as its functions are related to what the forehead and the ears do for you. While ears make you adjust to the ambience neck makes the environment adjust for your sake. Neck is located between head and the torso as a connecting part; similarly neck makes you connected with the environment. Neck analyses the environment and prods you adjust to it promptly and effectively. On the other hand, neck generates, like the forehead, huge amount of cosmic power rejuvenating your entire system. By this process it enslaves the environment and gets the best out of it. Neck gives you agility, flexibility and style. If things go wrong you put your neck out to fight out for your safety and survival. Every now and then, neck gets negative cosmic attacks from the environment and processes these attacks by going through the action steps of screening, elimination, moderation, absorption, generation and rejuvenation. Moreover, neck is understood to optimize all the five elements: spirit, fire, air, water and earth, a feat that cannot be bested by the other parts on the face. Regrettably, covering neck will negate all these cosmics in a single stroke.

You are damned lucky if you are born under the influence of any Trapezium Stars. Out of several trapeziums of stars in the sky, the well known one is the Orion Trapezium. Let me sketch out this trapezium in terms of its astronomy and cosmics. Few recommendations for you in improving your life are also listed.
What is Trapezium?
A trapezium is defined in mathematics as a quadrilateral with no parallel sides. The form can vary depending on the size and shape of vertices within the trapezium.
What are Trapezium Stars?
In the heavens there are several star formations that take the shape of trapeziums. Out of these the famous and luminous one is called “Orion Trapezium” or simply “The Trapezium”.
Astronomy
Orion Trapezium is located in the Orion constellation, in the heart of Great Orion Nebula. Astronomically referred to as”Theta Orionis “and “Theta Orionis 1” it is a cluster of stars forming a visible trapezium. The Four stars that mark the vertices of the trapezium are ascribed the alphabet “Theta Orionis 1 A, B, C, & D”. These four stars as a combination acts like a never failing battery that light up the entire Orion Nebula. Bright and hot, these four stars are binaries or multiple star systems themselves spawning more companion stars. One study traced about 11 of these. Besides, the Trapezium is still working round the clock to create a big nursery of young and brilliant stars called “Orion Proplyds”. About 300 of these could be easily traced.
The Trapezium is the youngest star cluster and very much closest to the Earth. Formed jus below a million years ago, this cluster is located within the Sword of Orion the hunter, in Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 5 hours 35 minutes and 54 seconds and Declination (Celestial Latitude) 5 degree 26 minutes and 38 seconds south.
Some writers call these four stars collectively as “Ensis” a Latin word meaning “Sword”. The lead star in the Trapezium is Theta Orionis 1 C. This bright and whitish blue star belongs to the spectral group of “O 6 “. This star is about 40 times the size of our Sun and 210,000 times luminous than our Sun. It is too hot with 46,000 Kelvin surface heat and located about 1,350 light years away. Although this particular star dwarfs other three stars in terms of size and brilliance, all these four stars put together make the Trapezium a lively sight in the sky. Not only that it lights up the Orion Nebula by giving the energy, heat and brightness through the intense radiation and slashing strong winds blowing at the speed up to 660 miles per second. On average all four stars are in the magnitude range of 5.1 and are located within 22 arc seconds from west to east (right to left) in the order A B, C & D as shown in the picture below. From the picture it is evident that the Trapezium Stars give multi coloured reflection. Though green is dominant other colours such as blue, violet and red do mesmerize.
The Trapezium: Sky Chart & Diagram

http://www.pacifier.com/~tpope/Trapezium_Page.htm
Cosmics
You are recognised as coming under the influence of the Trapezium if at the time of your birth the Trapezium rises in the East or culminates overhead in the sky cast over at the time and place of your birth. If Trapezium rises at the time of your birth it is your rising star and if it culminates at the time of your birth it is your culminating star. In rare cases, Trapezium stars can become your birth star when the Moon figures in the line of sight at the time and place of your birth.
Improving Your Life
After evaluating both positive and negative cosmics arising from the Trapezium Stars, I am sketching few recommendations for you in improving your life:
1. Channelize your un-dying enthusiasm and go- getting lifestyle into viable results in your chosen career
2. Energize whatever you do or whomever you interact with; note that you are a power source, a huge battery
3. Popularize your stature and significance amongst relations, friends, colleagues and others; more with the opposite sex as they tend to idolize you
4. Monetize your programme of actions in career and business so that you rake in millions before others do
5. Ironize when your enemies harm you or colleagues mistreat you with a fitting response; note you are a sledgehammer and no vegetable
6. Lionize in enjoyment of pleasure in family; engaging in charitable actions concerning less fortunate people; guarding ladies under attack from unsociable elements
7. Eulogize when others do the best; note you are the best guy for valedictory function in meetings, banquets or after dinner speeches.

Every now and then you come across the word Blessings and you feign that you have lot of these if not only from the God but from several others whom you consider are important and capable of giving such blessings. Who can shower you blessings and whose behalf? This vexed question is answered in this blog post.
Blessings: Scriptures make blessings the prerogative of God and rightly so. All of us accept that it is the God who has created the universe and the beings within including every living organism. Having done that the God continues to shower his blessings. Undoubtedly, we need the blessings of the Lord for us to play our role as human beings on Earth.
Medium: Since the God does not personally appear to bless you, there has to be a medium found for this purpose. In Greek culture an Oracle was construed as a medium; in many Eastern cultures clairvoyance was resorted to receive the blessings of the Lord. In Hindu Culture, however, beings other than humans such as cobras were venerated in order to receive such blessings.
Message: All these media essentially started to give the blessings on behalf of the God , later as time passed by, developed into giving message of their own as well. Both types of blessings have come to be accepted. While the blessings of the Lord remains supreme, the blessings of those venerated do play a major role in human conduct.
Media Types: According to an old Tamil adage the level of authority in showering you blessings come in a typical scale: Mother, Father, Preceptor and Priest. Let me explain how each of them can pass the blessings of the Lord and their own upon you and in doing so help you in improving your life.
Mother: She is the first human being you come across when you are born; her milk of kindness is the first ever thing you taste as you emerge from her womb. In her you see an undaunted spirit as she goes through the motions of labour in bringing you out to this world. From this time onwards you are clung to your mother whether it is sunshine or rains. So much is said about her flowing kindness that even we call the world as “Mother Nature”. Her love to you cannot be ever priced. Like Mother Nature she lives a long life so much so that she is alive and kicking even you pass the age of 60. Throughout, she is at best a strong anchor and at worst a mild critic. She is the first person you should turn to get the blessings of the God; having done so ask her own blessings as well.
Father: Your love and affection towards your father goes in a see-saw pattern in your life. When you are up till 10 years old, your father remains your strength; he knows best, he is pretty smart. As you pass in age till 20 years you begin to see him as old fashioned and too old to remember how a teen would feel about. Thereafter till 30 years you are not much attached towards him, you feel he knows nothing and most often than not he acts in a clumsy manner. After 30 years you think maybe you speak to him, maybe he has plenty of experience, and maybe he has a winning style. By the time you reach 40 you regret you did not have many inter-actions with him, he is now in the heavens and you have to sort out all these without his presence. So whether your father is living or not it does not matter; seek the blessings of the God thru him and his own blessings too.
Preceptor: The word comes from Latin “Praeceptor” and relates to a teacher, guide or philosopher who is constantly at your side. Ranked third in the blessings hierarchy, a preceptor can never mar your life because he is wont in shaping life of his ward in perfect and alluring manner in keeping with the ideals of human nature and dictates of a civilized society. He can over-ride the negative aspects of your nature, marginalize negative cosmics within you and optimize your positive aspects to grow and glow. If you have done past wrongs to your mother or father or both he is in a position to advise you in correcting those misdeeds and guiding you towards loving them once again. Such is the power of the preceptor, that in Greek and Hindu mythology heroes go to their preceptors first before embarking on adventures, battles or acts of mundane nature. Hence, you should get the blessings of the God thru him and his own blessings very often. Remember a cardinal point: a woman cannot act as preceptor.
Priest: By training they are holy in nature; he is always with the God, serving the God or acts in manner that propagates the will of God. He is a safe person for you to confess all your peccadilloes as he is the best listening post you ever had. He is wise, learned in scriptures and in the art of persuasion of turning you towards achieving your goals and missions. He is circumspect and will preserve your secrecy. His plea to God is quickly answered. Therefore, go to the priest to get the blessings of the God thru him and seek thereafter his own blessings.

Full Moon February 2010 forecasts, good and bad in equal measure. In this blog post let me explain the details of the Full Moon in terms of astronomy and cosmics and offer you few tips for improving your life.
Astronomy
1. Full Moon: The Full Moon appears at 16.38 UTC/GMT on Sunday 28 February 2010. You have to trace your local time in reference to this time.
2. Location: At the time the Moon is located at:
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 10 hour 42 minutes 16 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) North 4 degree 7minutes 53 seconds
3. Constellation: Sextans
4. Illumination: 99.96 per centum
5. Perigee: This is the point where the Moon is closest to the Earth in its revolution. The Moon reached the Perigee point on the previous day, that is, February 27, at 21.41 UTC/GMT when its distance from the Earth was around 222,345 miles. At the time of Full Moon, the Moon is moving away from the perigee point; consequently the pulling power is, in fact, recedes
6. Surrounding Planets: Saturn on the East in Virgo constellation; Mars towards North-west in Cancer constellation
7. Lunar Mansions: At the time of Full Moon, it is located in the Eleventh Lunar Mansion (Arabic: Al-Manzil Al-Qamar) of Al-Zubrah, which means the Mane of the Lion.
8. Star: At this time the Moon is overlooking the star Hydrobius located on the hood of the snake. The Greek word Hydrobius means “Water Dweller”. It is the brightest amongst the six stars on the hood of the snake and considered to be the most potent. Astronomically known as Zeta Hydrae, it is a bright yellow giant with a spectral class of G9III; with a magnitude of 3.11 Hydrobius showers magical yellow light that can make your pulse move faster. Located some 150 light years away, with a surface heat of 4,820 Kelvin, it is about 138 times luminous as our Sun and is about 16 times its size.
9. Asterism: The star Hydrobius is one of the six stars on the hood of the serpent known as Hydra Head Asterism. Other stars in the asterism are: Delta, Epsilon, Eta, Rho and Sigma stars, all of them in the Hydra constellation.
Cosmics
The combined effect of the Full Moon in the circumstances described above gives both positive and negative cosmic results:
Positive Cosmics: More emphasis on rationality and calculation; profit or cash-flow turns out to be the only measure leaving others out; time for intellect and rational mind; more importance of law and order, compulsion on standards and ethics in business or family affairs.
Negative Cosmics: Fiery nature together with imbalance of cosmic energy of Leo and Virgo leads to temper tantrum both in office and in family affairs; Health is generally impaired; caring for others or considering the point of view of others might be skipped with disastrous consequences. Being careless could cost you more.
Improving Your Life
Few tips for improving your life till the next New Moon are given below:
1. Apply brakes in carefree lifestyle lest you make your life miserable
2. Control your tongue and temper, otherwise you are going to make the already bad atmosphere more poisonous; this applies to both in your office and in the hone front
3. Take care of pollution from the environment, as the heat generated could spell physical discomfiture
4. For those in politics, beware of conspiracy and calculated actions of your enemies; for those in higher administration in public and private sectors, you must be careful about giving nods to unsavoury and unlawful projects or actions
5. Good time for sales and marketing guys who are bent on travelling
6. For women ill-health in general and menstrual disorders in particular could be very nasty
7. Time to get married but not time to start a new romance
8. Those in financial markets, such as stock and bonds, you would better play the field widely
9. For business men new partnerships or new ventures in technology are best plays
10. Use lot of yellow in your system: yellow colour, yellow vegetables, fruits with yellow inside are the best for you
11. Fruit essence for men is blackberry; for women it is Apricot. Follow the instructions on the bottle; use two such bottles in this fortnight
12. As regards to Gems & Crystals, any yellow gems are good for this season: Yellow sapphire, Yellow topaz, Lemon topaz, Citrine, Garnet, Beryl and Zircon are generally recommended.

Monday, February 22nd, 2010
In our school days, we were taught a maxim: failures are pillars of success. To corroborate we were given the famous legend of Robert the Bruce, the King of Scotland, who reigned during 1306 to 1329. This brave king was fighting the war of Scottish Independence from England. Defeated consecutively and pursued by the English soldiers Robert the Bruce, the legend says, hid himself in a cave. Inside the cave he saw a spider spinning a web in the roof of it and was trying to knot from one nook to another. Failures after failures the spider finally succeeded in its effort. Inspired by this cosmic lesson, Robert the Bruce waged war once again, this time defeating the English army and finally gaining independence for Scotland.
The story apart, we were always prodded to take victory and defeat in the same stead to succeed in life. Those who flunked the Maths subject were subjected to great deal of brain-washing by our teachers. Try and try one day you will succeed was the mantra given in sufficient dose that even after our school days we go tango in trying to reach our mission against many odds.
But what happens when every thing you touch turns out to be a miserable failure? Each time you go honkers and want to make it a done thing you get the same bad result. Like president Obama you have re-set the button number of times. Still there is no sweet smell of success. What you should do? Give up? Walk away from the Situ? Throw the towel? Leave it to the Providence?
Still you have a lingering thought. Hey! This time I make it Yep! So again you try and assuage yourself nothing like trying. Then you remember somebody said “The biggest failure is not trying”. When the scorecard arrives, it is the same old story, failure once again. Finally you lose heart and ask yourself: Are Failures pillars of Success?
Now you must turn to analyse what was going on. Each time you fail you go through a system of learning and experience. Some of these are listed below:
1. The reason or reasons for the failure
2. In the same token you understand the opposite of the failure: the bases for success
3. You minutely look every angle of the issue, like a diamond merchant surveying the entire facets of a diamond
4. You take a global view, the issue at hand compared with the environment, the outside arena
5. Reasons for failure, bases of success, minute view and global view put together your learning curve has now shortened. You are in your elements now you can try once more
6. You build up faith, in you, in your ability
7. You call up your spirit, courage to make yet another shot at your desired mission
8. Now you know that you should try it differently; bringing all your strength and spirit you make a final attempt.
Alas you have failed once again in your mission; right now you should not blame yourself; neither those who are close to you such as your wife, boss, colleague nor society at large. At this point you must realise that failures are pillars of success only if you have the right Cosmics, the hidden aspects of your personality, that shape you from the time you are born.
If you act in a manner in consonance with your cosmics you succeed in your mission and in your life too. If you act in a manner contrary to your cosmics you fail in mission and in your life too. Therefore improving your chances of success in your mission and in your life depends on your understanding of the cosmics you have within you.
Do not waste any more time; understand your cosmics and start improving your life.

Thursday, February 18th, 2010
The annual Jupiter Sun conjunction takes place at 12.00 UTC/GMT time on February 28, 2010. You can trace your local time in reference to this. Bracing together for few moments these two planets are in Aquarius constellation at the time the event occurs. They have company of planets and stars; the location of their meeting is auspicious too. In this blog I write about the Jupiter Sun Conjunction February 2010 in terms of astronomy, stars and related cosmics in order to help you improving your life.
Astronomy
1. The conjunction takes place where Aquarius hugs the jug. In Greek mythology Aquarius is Ganymede whose job is to pour divine nectar called ambrosia to the Gods out of the jug he carries.
2. The Sun enters Aquarius constellation on February 16 and meets up with Jupiter having located itself at Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) of 22 hours, 45 minutes and 20 seconds and at the Declination (Celestial Latitude) of South 7 degree, 53 minutes and 58 seconds. After the meeting the Sun is expected to leave Aquarius on March 11, for its pleasure spot of Pisces constellation
3. The planet Jupiter enters Aquarius constellation on January 6 and meets up with the Sun having located itself at Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) of 22 hours, 46 minutes and 38 seconds and at the Declination (Celestial Latitude) of South 8 degree, 46 minutes and 40 seconds. After the meeting Jupiter will be hanging around in Aquarius till May 4, whence it moves to its home turf of Pisces constellation.
4. Both these planets have company from the planetary kingdom; Venus to the East and Mercury to the west both located at Aquarius constellation at that time
5. Both these planets have company of great stars as well. These stars are: Hydor to the East; Ancha to the West; Situla on the North; finally Sigma Aquarius towards South-east.
Stars
1. Hydor
Astronomically known as Lambda Aquari, Hydor is a variable star located at the bend of the steam of water or ambrosia, whichever pouring out of the Jar, the water carrier Aquarius holds. The Latin name Hydor means “water”. It is also known as “Ekkhysis” from Greek meaning “outpouring”. Belonging to the class of M 2 III, it is a red giant giving bright red hue. It is 390 light years away and has visual magnitude of 3.73. Rotating away from the Earth one mile per second it is a slow moving star sitting on the elliptical path. This star is surrounded by about 100 tiny stars. In Hindu mythology, the star Hydor symbolizes the God Varuna, who has several roles to play: the god of ocean and water; the deity of the Moon; the guardian of Western direction; the god who can revive the dead; Varuna is also classified as Ashura and Deva in Hindu mythology. The surrounding stars are 100 Adityas, celestial bodies born out of Goddess Adithi known for their skills as physicians
2. Ancha
Astronomically known as Theta Aquari, Ancha is located on the right rib of the water carrier. The name Ancha is derived from Latin to mean haunch and takes affinity to old French “hanche”. Belonging to the spectral class of G8 III, it is a yellow giant giving fantastic yellow light. It is 191 light years away and has visual magnitude of 4.17. Rotating away from the Earth nine miles per second it is on the ecliptical path. Often it is occulted (overshadowed) by the Moon and rarely by other planets. It is cooler than our Sun with about 5000 Kelvin surface heat
3. Situla
Astronomically known as Kappa Aquari, Situla is located on the top of the conical water jug. The name Situla is derived from classical Latin to mean water jug, urn or a bucket. The Arabic word “Al-Satl” seems to be more appropriate. Belonging to the spectral class of K2 III, it is a giant and cool star giving crimson hue. It is 234 light years away and has visual magnitude of 5.04. Rotating towards the Earth about five miles per second it is a binary star. Situla A is fairly hot with 4,550 Kelvin surface temperature and an orange k type giant whereas Situla B is fairly red and faint with a visual magnitude of 8.8. The combined effect leaves a crimson red colour emanating from the two stars
4. Sigma Aquarius
Astronomically it is Sigma Aquari and goes without a proper name. It is a binary white sub giant with the spectral class of A0 IVs. Its companion star is also white hence the brightness and whiteness of Sigma Aquarius makes it a notable star in the heaven. Located 265 light years away Sigma Aquarius is rotating towards the Earth Just about 7 mile per second.
All four stars can be easily traced in the following picture: Hydor is shown as “y” typed on reverse; Ancha is shown to the right close to Rho (p); Situla is sown up as “k” on top; Sigma Aquarius is shown on the bottom of the four stars square.

New Moon in February 2010, heralds good tidings and at the same time cautions you to take care. In this blog post let me explain the details of the New Moon in terms of astronomy and cosmics and offer you few tips for improving your life.
February New Moon
The New Moon appears at 2.52 a.m. GMT/UTC on Sunday 14 February 2010. You have to trace your local time in reference to this.
Astronomy
At this time the Moon appears to us on earth as if in conjunction with the Sun even though both are 94 arc seconds apart. The location of the Sun and the Moon along with the nearby star Deneb Algedi is given below:
The Sun
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 21 hour 50 minutes 17 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) South 13 degree 5 minutes 16 seconds
The Moon
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 21 hour 48 minutes 43 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) South 10 degree 17minutes 53 seconds
Star Deneb Algedi
Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 21 hour 47 minutes 36 seconds
Declination (Celestial Latitude) South 16 degree 4 minutes 49 seconds
Obviously, there is convergence of three celestial bodies rather than any conjunction. The Moon is at apogee (farther from the Earth) at about 252,310 miles away. Illuminated less than 1 percent, the Moon cannot be seen by us. Glare of the Sun apart, the Moon’s illumination is too insignificant for it to be recognized.
Capricornus Constellation
The Moon, the Sun and the star Deneb Algedi are in the Capricornus constellation. At this time both Mercury and Neptune are also in the same constellation; Neptune farther away in the East while Mercury in the West from the Moon. The Capricornus constellation is drawn like a sea-goat and is well known as “Pan” the God of flocks, shepherds, hunting and rustic music in Greek Mythology; God “Enki” in Babylonian legends; the Matsaya (Fish) Incarnation of Lord Vishnu in Hinduism ; the God ‘Osiris” of the ancient Egypt. Both the Sun and the Moon traversing through Capricornus constellation bring two opposing forces towards equilibrium. The cosmics of the Sun is, it is a hot and dry planet whereas the cosmics of the Moon is, it is a cold and moist planet. Both mix cold with warmth dryness with moisture. Therefore, this leads to level headedness prevailing in the minds of people on the one hand and overall health and fitness on the other hand.
Lunar Mansions
The New Moon arises in the twenty-forth Lunar Mansion (Arabic Al-Manzil al- Qamar) of “Al-Sad Al-Sud” ( Fortune of the Fortunate). This lunar mansion has a mixed bag. It bestows upon you mental alertness and physical fitness; you befriend new friends or get new business contacts; you can build new houses or ventures. You can also get treatment for chronic illness with more tangible results. Yet at the same time the lunar mansion has negative results as well: You have to take care of your family affairs especially about your spouse; illicit or extra marital affairs can lead to infamy; for those who are in politics they have to be careful lest they miss their steps; for those in the business flamboyant partners or fanciful projects can spell doom. In summary the mansion is fairly weighted towards good results.
Star Deneb Algedi
Located in the fish like tail of the sea-goat Capricornus, the star Deneb Algedi is a white colour one. It is a four star system with three other members. Their combined brightness makes Deneb Algedi a blue star , perhaps the brightest of all in the sky. This star is called a metallic star combining both good and bad effects: good arising from its brightness bad emanating from its location.
Improving Your Life
1. Bring more zing and zest to your lifestyle
2. Take out the moribund look and go for a face lift; see whether your dress, hair style , mannerism can be uplifted for good results
3. While talking with friends, colleagues keep both feet on the ground; crossing the legs is a taboo; ladies take notice
4. Get more of red colour into your system: eat reddish cabbage or vegetables with red colour within; my favourite is beet root; red fruits and indeed water melon would get your cosmics flow deep inside
5. The effect of the New Moon lasts for a fortnight in general; for the first week it is intense but will peter off as it reaches the Full Moon stage some 14.8 days after the New Moon; so hurry up and make hay while the Sun shines
6. Do little bit gardening, mixing earth with water; plant new saplings; uproot dried and dead ones
7. If you suffer from chronic or severe illness get additional medicine or treatment; for those who have terminal illness, be rest assured you are given a new leash of life until the Full Moon; the ambience around you gives more potassium and magnesium but less calcium. If you are calcium deficient mark this
8. Use more of white, blue or red colours in your dress and clothes
9. Pan is the God of music and hunting so commemorate him with more music and dance
10. Any chalcedony including Agate, Aventurine , Carnelian, Chrsysoprase and Onyx, can be worn as Gems & Crystals.

Natural and man made disasters strike many parts of the globe frequently. Immediately organizations such as Oxfam, Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies come to the rescue of the many people affected. The staff manning these service organizations have one thing in common, the influence of the star Menkar bestowing on them the ability in disaster management. In this blog post, I examine the star Menkar in terms of Astronomy, Constellation and Cosmics. Few tips are given in improving your life too.
Menkar in Astronomy
Menkar is a bright cool orange to reddish star beaming orange colour. The star was named after its original Arabic title “Al-Minkhar Al- Qaytaas” meaning “The Nostril of the Sea Monster”. It is in the Cetus constellation or simply “The Whale” constellation. Menkar is located on the Jaw of the giant whale alias sea monster. When you take the entire constellation per se it is located on the north-eastern part and rises fairly late in the eastern sky in the horizon. Due to the variability of its brightness, Astronomer Bayer was led to believe it as the brightest star in the Cetus constellation. Accordingly, he gave the alpha status to the star. Today, the star is considered as the second brightest one.
Menkar is astronomically referred to as “Alpha Ceti “. It is classified as “M 1.5 III a” indicating it is a cool orange giant and a variable star to boot. In its stellar evolution, Menkar is almost in the penultimate stage before its eventual death. Menkar has passed the early stages such as fusing hydrogen to helium, helium to carbon and now it is in the stage of contracting the remaining carbon at the core. Consequently the star is shedding its outer layers made of hydrogen. Once this stage is passed, Menkar is set to explode as a planetary nebula. Thereafter, perhaps the remaining rump part of the star could turn out to be a large white dwarf star.
A third magnitude star in brightness in the scale at 2.5, Menkar is located in Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 3 hour 2 minutes and 49 seconds and Declination (Celestial Latitude) 4 degree 7 minutes and 44 seconds north. Menkar has surface temperature of 3,700 Kelvin and is about 380 times luminous than the Sun. It is about 220 light years away and about 84 times the size of the Sun. It is a horizon star and is moving away from earth at a speed of 16 miles per second. Menkar is known for special features:
1. Its brightness vary in an irregular manner; being a giant star it is given an astronomical short hand “Lb “ which conveys to the laymen “ the brightness of this giant star varies in irregular manner “
2. Menkar emits radio waves as a result of cool winds on its surface. This may also have caused the orange colour beamed from the star throughout despite its variability of its brightness
3. Menkar is the last important star to rise in the Cetus constellation as it is located in the north-eastern part of Cetus
4. Menkar has steadily and greatly lost its carbon content after it entered the third stage of contracting carbon at the core. This means that Menkar is on the fast track to become a planetary nebula compared with other stars.
Cetus Constellation
Let me say few things about Cetus constellation. The word Cetus comes from Latin, meaning a whale. According to Greek Legend it all started when Cassiopeia queen of Cepheus, the King of Ethiopia, boasted that her beauty surpasses that of the sea nymphs Nereids. Hearing this impertinent statement, Poseidon (Neptune in Latin), the Lord of the ocean and father of the Nereids sent storms to ravage the Ethiopian sea coast. When Cepheus consulted the Oracle he was advised that as atonement for the vanity of his queen he must chain his daughter Andromeda in the sea to be devoured by the sea monster Cetus, who appears in the form of a Giant Whale. Later on Cetus is seen travelling towards Andromeda, the virgin who is chained to the rock to be devoured by him. Before Cetus can finish his job, Perseus the hero appears. He has in his hand the Head of Gordon Medusa. Perseus shows this head to Cetus; on seeing Medusa, Cetus is turned into a stone. There the sea monster lies eternally.
On the contrary, Gerardus D Bouw, writing in Biblical Astronomer No 104, traces the Cetus story from Nineveh, the Assyrian capital city on the bank of the Tigris River that was revived by God after the Ninevites repented as preached by Prophet Jonah. Obviously, the whale that swallowed Jonah could easily be traced to Cetus.
Whatever the story is, Cetus constellation is largely a southern constellation with few stars above the celestial equator. It is fourth largest constellation in the known sky. This constellation has several notable stars: Deneb Kaitos, Menkar , Baton Kaitos, Al Kaf Al Jidhmah, Deneb and Mira.
Cosmics
Menkar is located just above the celestial equator and always rises in the horizon. It can influence a person in four counts:
1. Birth star sighted by the Moon
2. Lucky star sighted by one of the other six planets
3. Rising star
4. Culminating star
Positive Cosmics
1. Menkar makes you a ‘service to humanity” person. You have charitable nature in helping affected people during calamities. It can be natural disaster such as an earthquake or a man made disaster such as arson. Whatever the nature of the disaster you are one of the few to rush in with whatever help you can garner
2. Though you often languish in the cocoon shelf of your office when the moment arrives you rise to the occasion with speed and agility second to none
3. Quick analysis is your hallmark and moving men and logistics under trying conditions is the task made for you
4. You will not easily give up in your actions be it in the office or in the sports ground. Your enthusiasm never fades
5. Plump, fat with an over sized belly and besotted with un-combed hair you are, in appearance wise an anti-thesis to the heroes in the celluloid films; but when it comes to work you are marvellous and often get adulation from many quarters.
Negative Cosmics
1. The chief negative is that you are too emotional; if anything is denied you are going to take it up grudgingly and wait for the moment to demonstrate that the other party is simply wrong
2. You can be caught in a web of deceit especially in relation to financial scandals or in extra marital affairs
3. You are prone to major accidents resulting in the loss of life or limb; you are also susceptible to major breakdowns in terms of health
4. As you tread the path of helping people in the throes of crisis the chance of tripping onto electricity wire or stung by venomous snakes or attacked by hyenas and other predators cannot be over-emphasized.
Improving Your Life
The following are few recommendations to improve your life:
1. You should select white, green orange and light colours for your dress
2. Numbers 1, 5 & 8 do wonders for you
3. You must sleep, keeping your head towards the south -east
4. You must join social services or disaster management or special services organizations
5. Single marriage lasts till end
6. It would be better for you to be in the public service or work for a Non-Governmental Organizations(NGO)
7. You should use the combination of alphabets “H “ in name or user name or pet name
8. You must develop lifestyle where your suitcase is stuffed and ready to fly away on call. Like in the Lyrics of a Jim Reeves number “ I hear the sound of distant drums” you wait for the mobile to ring for the call of duty
9. During leisure, enjoy at home peacefully.

Are you prepared for action at any time like the legendary SWAT Team? If yes, you have something to do with the star Merak, a fabulous star in the north-eastern sky ever so present to keep you ever so prepared. In this blog post, I examine the star Merak in terms of Astronomy, Asterism and Cosmics and outline recommendations for improving your life.
Astronomy
Merak is a bright hot star beaming with white colour tinged in green shade in the north eastern sky. The word Merak comes from Arabic “Al-Maraak Al- Dubb Al- Akbar” meaning “the Loin of the Great Bear”. It is located in Ursa Major constellation or simply “Great Bear” constellation. Merak is a part of seven star combinations known as Big Dipper Asterism. Fabulously dazzling in colour, Merak is the fifth brightest star in the Great Bear constellation, even though Astronomer Bayer in his classification gave the second place to the star by allotting the Greek letter Beta.
Merak is astronomically referred to as “Beta Ursa Major“. It is classified as A1V indicating it is white dwarf main sequence star like our Sun, fusing hydrogen to helium in its core. A third magnitude star in brightness in the scale of at 2.3, Merak is located in Right Ascension (Celestial Longitude) 11 hour 2 minutes and 27 seconds and Declination (Celestial Latitude) 56 degree 19 minutes and 41 seconds. Merak has surface temperature of 9,600 Kelvin and is about 70 times luminous than the Sun. It is about 70 light years away and about 3 times the size of the Sun. It is fairly a northern star and is moving away from earth at a speed of 7.5 miles per second. Merak is known for various features:
1. As a Pointing star: if you draw an imaginary line from Merak thru Dubhe and go up North you would arrive at the Polar Star
2. As a star with a Disk: Like the planet Saturn, the star Merak has a cooling disk surrounding it; It gives an excellent colour combination of white with greenish tinge. Various theories abound for this phenomenon. One is that the surrounding area has heated dust that gives infra-red light translating into a fascinating colour; the other is that the star Merak might have a planet orbiting it
3. Merak is located 56 degree north; therefore it is a circumpolar star that is, never setting for those who live in areas 30 degrees north
4. In close proximity to Merak, but towards the west there is a planetary nebula known as “Owl Nebula” classified as NGC 3587 or Messier Object M 97.
Asterism
Merak is a part of the Big Dipper Asterism, the most famous out of all asterisms. Big Dipper is also known as Wagon in USA and Plough in UK. The appropriate word is ladle because all the seven stars in the asterism form a ladle. This asterism is noted in astronomy because the seven stars in the asterism are related to each other in terms of speed; motion and the direction towards these are moving away from earth. This remarkable fact is known as “Ursa Major Moving Group”. The seven stars in the asterism are: Dubhe, Merak, Megrez, Phekda, Alioth, Mizar and Alkaid. In Hindu mythology the asterism is called Saptha Rishi (Seven Stages) and they are represented as stars in the following manner: Kratu as Dubhe; Pulaha as Merak ; Atri as Megrez; Pulastya as Phekda; Angiras as Alioth; Vasishta as Mizar; Bhrigu as Alkaid. Out of these sages, Pulaha personified as Merak was born from the Navel of the God Brahma.
Cosmics
Merak does not figure as a birth star, sighted by the Moon or lucky star sighted by other six planets because it is far away from the ecliptical plane. Hence, Merak can influence your life as a rising star or a culminating star only. However, the effect of the star Merak is not much pronounced in cases of persons who are born in locations above 30 degree north in latitude or below 30 degree south in latitude. This is because for those who are born in locations above 30 degree north the star Merak never sets and to those who are born in locations below 30 degree south the star Merak never rises.
Positive Cosmics
1. Merak girds up your loin; you are always ready for action; you are blessed with the ability to take stock of the situation, develop your strategies and tactics, implement these in optimum manner and go towards your stated goals
2. Merak gives you uncanny wisdom appropriate for those who are to make decision at the spur of the moment like members of the legendary SWAT Team, Commandos, Business Negotiators and CEOs of large corporations
3. Merak also gives you smart look; bright in outlook; taking responsibility and always moving forward
4. Merak gets you the pleasures of life but as you start to enjoy there is a call from your boss or office to handle another assignment. Like James Bond in the movie you have little time to enjoy the plums of life that is spread all over you.
Negative Cosmics
1. You need to put lot of acting under pressure or under a guise; hence real love and fondness escape from you
2. You can be caught in a web of deceit
3. You will also develop erratic behaviour pattern in sex, family and business relations as time goes on.
Improving Your Life
The following are few recommendations to improve your life:
1. You should select white, green and light colours for your dress
2. Numbers 2, 5 & 8 do wonders for you
3. You must sleep, keeping your head towards the south -west
4. You must join special services in the armed forces
5. Marriage through love at first sight is shown, but bewares of it
6. Any business where quick decision making is involved could fit your bill
7. You should use the combination of alphabets “S “and “L” in your name
8. You must develop lifestyle to go with “on the job and always moving scenario”
9. During leisure, be homely as far as possible because you are having enough out door activities; now is the time to look at the home front and to look after the welfare of your family.

You go for sunbathing but do not bother about the Moon that gives you light that is cool and refreshing. By bathing under the moonlight you can regain your lost energy and enthusiasm. What you need are few tips for Moonbathing. This blog post does that for you.
Moonbathing
Moonbathing is not well known in many parts of the world. While people flock to beaches for sunbathing from one corner of the globe to another they would not even step out to their back garden to bask under the cooling rays of the moonlight. There are two reasons for this: One is sunbathing is a day time affair where fun and frolic are order of the day not to mention socialising much sought after by sunbathers. Second reason is the illumination from moonlight compared with sunlight is too fractional to be considered anything worthy.
But the fact remains that moonbathing is as important as sunbathing; the benefits derived from moonbathing are equally important. Both sunbathing and moonbathing grant you different types of Cosmics. While sunbathing gives you male energy known as yang moonbathing affords you with the female energy known as yin. Purely yang makes you energetic but dries your feelings and emotions; by the same token exclusive yin energy glides you to float in sensitivity but depletes your orientation for action.
Moonbathing changes your lifestyle. For example a hot tempered person can become cooler and perhaps saner after continuous moonbathing for sometime. There is not a single defect in a moonbath to my knowledge. People can avoid sunbath if they have skin ailments. In the case of moonbath even a person dying of a terminal disease could drive some cosmic benefits. Hence, moonbathing is an essential feature in improving your life. In order to understand moonbathing and make it effective, it is necessary to learn about moonlight. The following are key features of moonlight:
1. Moonlight is not original one attributed to the Moon; it is in fact reflected light of the Sunlight absorbed by the Moon and showered on earth
2. Illumination of moonlight is fractional; in the temperate zones it is about one over 500,000 times of the sunlight; in tropical it can increase to about one over 250,000 of the sunlight
3. Due to insufficient illumination, the colour sensory ability of our eyes is impaired in moonlight. Hence, in moonlight you have either black or white. Moreover, the size dimension gets twisted. You will not be able to get the proper dimensions right. Hence, in moonlight a tree may appear bigger than in sunlight or artificial light.
4. Illumination of moonlight progresses as the Moon goes through phases known as lunation cycles. The moonlight gets brighter from the first quarter; more luminous in the waxing Gibbous and culminates on full moon day. It wanes thereafter in the Waning Gibbous and by the time it reaches end of the Waning Gibbous moonlight dims out. Roughly the time for moonbathing is, therefore, between 8 to 21 lunar days. This period is alternately knows as bright moon days
5. The Moon grows by each night. Instead of calling these as nights we use “lunar days” to identify the age of the Moon.
Tips for Moonbathing
1. Choose the Lunation Cycle right for you:
First Quarter: Ranges from eighth till eleventh lunar day. During these four nights you can moonbathe till about the midnight. This time is ideal for teens, convalescing persons and those who work in finance and banking sector
Waxing gibbous: Ranges from twelfth to fourteenth lunar day. During these three nights you can moonbathe between 10.00 p.m. till well past midnight. This lunation cycle is ideal for housewives, pregnant ladies or nursing mothers and those who work in teaching or educational related sectors
Full Moon: This Moon is also called as Night Moon because it is there in the sky the entire night. It appears for two days fifteenth and sixteenth lunar days. You can moon bathe from 8.00 p.m. till the wee hours as you please. This moon phase is excellent for artists, managers and business owners or persons involved in business related activities
Waning Gibbous: This phase has five days from seventeenth to twenty-first lunar days. The Moon rises late in the night in east and sets after Sun-rise. You will observe that the Moon is giving much cooler even though paler light. You can moonbathe around midnight till about 4.00 a.m. This suits fine for senior citizens and those who are serving in armed forces or regulatory bodies
2. Moon is for all seasons: spring, summer, autumn (fall) and winter. Depending on your personal preference you can choose the season for moonbathing:
Spring Moon: Silvery light with greenish tinge; calming and at the same time rejuvenating ambience
Summer Moon: Yellow light with orange overtones; more pulsating energy along with refreshed ambience
Autumn Moon: Mellow light with violet undertones; glowing in calmness and serenity
Winter Moon: Blue to silver; sense of silence with an echo of silent sound reverberating
3. Dress: You can dress decently with loose fitting garments; you can leave upper torso bare, unless civility dictates otherwise. During winter, you need protective garments
4. Manner: You can choose to stroll or sit in a wooden chair or rest / sleep in a couch
5. Eating and Drinking: You can eat or drink as you please but it would be better to avoid liquor
6. Seeing and Viewing: If it is possible, look at the Moon as often as necessary
7. Touching and Massaging: As you moonbathe you should fondle, tap, squeeze, touch and massage your body especially on the upper torso
8. Once the moonbath is completed do not wipe your body unless you need to get rid of any snow, bird droppings, dust and pigments of leaves
9. Retire to bed straight away.

Paring nail is a mundane task, so you thought. Like every activity paring nails also has do and avoid lists in its rule book. If you keep to this rulebook you can improve your Cosmics which in turn helps improving your life too. This blog post gives you an easy guide to paring nails in nutshell in the form of Do and Avoid List.
Do List
1. Keep nail clippers and nail files for strictly personal use
2. Good days for paring nails are: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. For children below the age of 13 it is better to pare nails on Wednesdays. Morning hours are recommended
3. Before starting, you must soak your fingers and toes in water for few minutes and wipe these dry
4. There are two activities: clipping and filing. First you do the clipping and then the filing. The procedure is given below:
Firstly clip nails on the right hand starting from the right thumb and ending with the small finger. Thereafter, use the nail file to smooth the end and edges of the nails starting from thumb finger and ending with the small finger. Now shift to the left hand and do the same way
When it comes to toe nail the sequence is changed. Firstly you clip toe nails on the right foot starting from the little toe and ending with the big toe known as Hallux. Thereafter, use the nail file to smooth the end and edges of the toe nails starting from little toe and ending with the big toe. Now shift to the left foot and do the same way
5. After paring nails, use a disinfectant to wash your fingers and the toes thoroughly and wipe these dry
6. The cut nails from fingers and toes should be preferably disposed by burying these in the sand. If this is not possible use water in the wash basin to flush these out
7. You can clip finger nails once in a fortnight; as regards to toe nails you can pare either fortnightly or monthly as the case may be
8. During emergency such as physical injury to the nails, this Do List can be ignored.
Avoid List
1. Do not trample upon the cut pieces of nails
2. You should never burn cut pieces of nails in any manner
3. Do not leave cut pieces of nails inside the house unattended, as it leads to poverty and ill-health
4. You should not clip nails on Mondays, the first day of the calendar month, the first day of the New Moon and on the Full Moon day. Solar eclipse takes place on the first day of the New Moon and Lunar Eclipse on the Full Moon day and clipping nails in these days is a taboo in terms of Cosmics
5. Women who have just conceived should not pare nails for 21 days from the day of conception lest it leads to complications during pregnancy
6. Never bite nails as this is injurious to health especially the intestine
7. Dreaming cut pieces of nails results in abject poverty or terminal illness; hence if you have such dreams consult an elder or medical professional promptly.

Being hot tempered is not necessarily a bad quality in you because you can take several measures to cool down your anger. However if being hot tempered is a quality acquired by birth then you need to put extra efforts to cool off. This blog post explains details of anger and anger management to enable you to adopt suitable measures in improving your life.
Getting Angry
Many writers make a big hullabaloo about people getting angry as if it is the worst thing ever done. This is completely a false argument. Even in mythology, Gods in Greek, Roman and Hindu lore have had enough of temper tantrums. So why is the fuss? It is because the norms of the society demand that everybody suppresses his anger. Aristotle in his writing, however, has mentioned about the concept of “Catharsis” a situation where you let out your feelings so that the resultant situation becomes saner and better. Blowing your fuse at times is as natural as your go for fun and frolic. It can be excused as well. But if you habitually flare up the society shuns you as an angry person; likewise if you start to get physical while in episodes of anger and land few blows on others then you are crossing the red line.
Showing Anger
There are two ways of venting your feelings:
1. Internal Expression of Anger: In this case you keep your anger within your body and mind. This method does help you in the short run but in the long run does lot of harm. You tend to spend endless nights rolling on the bed thinking about the incident. Or you harp on the issue for long time that your elements tune you to be a morose person. By suppressing anger one day you are going to implode within; face a breakdown in heart and other vital organs. Some of you can get into neurosis and complications in connection with the proper functioning of the brain
2. External Expression of Anger: In this case the cathartic effect comes into play. You blast out and that is the end. So you feel relieved unless others are hurt by your rage. There are three ways of showing anger externally:
2.1. You grimace, show a long face or mimic; here you use the face to show your bubble of rage in a muted manner
2.2. You shout, scold or leather out; here you use your voice mainly against family members, business associates, friends and relations or sometimes members of the public
2.3. You use your hands and legs to demonstrate your rage; here it is all physical resulting in damages to your limbs and consequential damages to others as well. This can lead to family disharmony, business related issues and perhaps financial loss
Causes of Anger
Anger can be caused by a single factor or several factors put together. Provocation by others, disappointment, mental hurt, depression, touching the raw nerve by others especially in religion and politics, stress, busy lifestyle are main causes. Women take their anger out on husbands and other family members when their ego is under siege. Moreover, women who do not get sexual satisfaction from their spouses have tend to fly into rage frequently. Brooding behaviour also leads to destructive forms of anger. More than that anger can be caused by characteristics you acquire at the time of birth. This birth related cosmics continue to prevail in you unless mitigatory measures are implemented.
Anger Management
If you blow hot once in a way it does not matter to you or to others. But if you are getting angry habitually you will be branded with“Hot-Tempered” label which is very difficult to take it off on the one hand and on the other hand leads the society at large to shun you. To avoid this situation you should follow a system called anger management. It consists of two types of therapy: one deals with short term cooling down and the other uses long term cooling off.
A) Short term Cooling Down
Here we go like the cowboys fingers on the trigger:
1. Just look out of the window at the sky or trees or at nature
2. Drink a glass of water
3. Splash cool water on your face and if possible daub your chest area with a freshened moist tissue
4. Have a cool drink made from fruits
5. Lie down on the floor for about 4 to 8 minutes
6. Change your seat, close your eyes and count from 1 to 28; by the time you reach 28 your system gets fresh thoughts and sensation. The number 28 relates to the Lunar Mansions
7. Become a baby and sing a nursery rhyme in soft voice
8. If you are unable to control physical urge get the waste paper basket, sit on the floor, pour the contents on the floor, now begin tearing the papers as if you are shredding these, put everything back, now you are done with your anger. A Swedish ceramic manufacturer had a heap of damaged ceramics, stored in his backyard left to be pounded; he was also aware that most employees in ceramic industry get frequently angry. So he circulated a note: If you are not happy with the management go into the backyard and damn those ceramics. He got the result: the employees gave vent to their feelings and the damaged ceramics were pounded to dust
9. Sprawl on your cushioned chair, bring your hands together on the back of your head and rest your head resolutely, put your feet up on the table, close your eyes, now get into dream world, think about your time as a youth, sauntering on beaches with your girl friends, think of your mother and the love and affection she showered on you. Result: you are fully relaxed.
B) Long term Cooling Off
Here you reflect on the basics and allow your cosmics to work for you:
1. Do a self- assessment; Write why are you getting angry frequently, what can be done, whom you should talk to; go thorough the process of understanding you and your present state and how you wish to make your future by keeping cool
2. Consult a therapist or a neutral person and get his advice
3. Learn to relax
4. Understand your birth cosmics. The following are some of the birth characteristics associated with generally angry persons:
4.1 Birth on Tuesdays and Saturdays store and harness more adrenalin resulting in anger and frustration
4.2 If your predominant element is fire the tendency to lose control and display emotions is high
4.3 When your middle chakra in your body is not in equilibrium you can fly into rage momentarily. The base chakra deals with hunger, the heart chakra deals with impulse and the middle chakra deals with anger. The coordination between these chakras is directed by the middle chakra. When it fails either hunger or impulse or both can make you blow a fuse. You know the proverb: an hungry man is an angry man
4.4 When your birth Moon is in Aries or Leo constellations
4.5 When your birth Moon is either in New Moon or in Full Moon Lunation Cycles
4.6 When your birth Moon is in either of the Lunar Mansions: Al-Sheratain, Al-Debaran, Al-Qalb, and Al-Jabbah
If you have any of these characteristics you have to do lot more in cooling off your hot temper. You are advised to wear light coloured clothes, use cooling gems and crystals such as pearls and moonstones, drink plenty of water and keep your stomach one third with solid foods, one third with liquids and one third empty.

So you have found your Sun sign by looking at popular newspaper columns and internet pages and adopt it as your own. The dates given for these Sun signs are made arbitrarily and do not relate to the actual transit of the Sun. Find your Right Sun sign by reading this blog post. I explain details of the transit of the Sun so that you can find your Sun sign easily and go on improving your life.
Your Right Sun Sign
Just check the actual transit dates given in the table below and find out Your Right Sun Sign. The table details twelve Zodiacal signs plus Ophiuchus, a Sun sign that was ignored by the ancients but plays a major role today. Hence, there are thirteen such Sun signs now. In Astronomy, these Sun signs are known as “Constellations”. The table below indicates the name of the constellation, date Sun enters into the constellation, date Sun leaves from the constellation and the duration in days the Sun stays in a constellation, as shown by Dr. Lee T. Shapiro, Director Morehead Planetarium, of the University of North Carolina. The accompanying notes explain finer points over the Sun transit:
Transit of the Sun
Constellation Date Enters Date Leaves Duration of stay in days
Aries April 19 May 13 25
Taurus May 14 June 19 37
Gemini June 20 July 20 31
Cancer July 21 August 9 20
Leo August 10 September 15 37
Virgo September 16 October 30 45
Libra October 31 November 22 23
Scorpio November 23 November 29 7
Ophiuchus November 30 December 17 18
Sagittarius December 18 January 18 32
Capricorn January 19 February 15 28
Aquarius February 16 March 11 24
Pisces March 12 April 18 38
Notes:
1. The Sun transits into 13 constellations and not twelve as popularly known. In addition, the Sun while in the Pisces constellation breaks new ground by parking into the Cetus constellation on March 27. What happens is that half of the Sun’s disk is in Cetus constellation and half of the Sun’s disk is still in the Pisces constellation a unique process that lasts almost 18 hours on that day
2. Depending on the leap year adjustment the days may fluctuate plus or minus one day for every Sun sign
3 Those who are born on border days have to check the precise position of their Sun sign by looking at the sky map of their time, date and place of birth, or should consult an astronomer to trace the position of the Sun. This is because the Sun unlike the universally accepted day, does not begin its journey on twelve midnight. The time of its entry into a constellation can take place any time during the 24 hour slot
4. Duration of the stay of the Sun in these constellations is uneven. The Sun stays more than 30 days in six constellations: Taurus, Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces. Whereas The Sun stays less than 30 days in seven constellations: Aries, Cancer, Libra, Scorpio, Ophiuchus, Capricorn and Aquarius
5. The Astronomical name for Scorpio is Scorpius; Capricorn is Capricornus; while the calling names for Ophiuchus vary: snake handler, snake charmer, serpent carrier and its Latin name Serpentius are very common
6. The Sun stays more days in Ophiuchus than in Scorpio
7. Just above 60 per cent of the global population is born under six Sun signs of
Taurus, Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces
8. The longest stay of Sun is in Virgo constellation and the shortest stay is in Scorpio constellation.
Ophiuchus
Most of you have read about the twelve Zodiacal Sun signs. Probably you have not learnt much about the Ophiuchus Sun sign. Let me give you few details of the Ophiuchus. This Sun sign comes in between Scorpio somewhat of a negative Sun sign and Sagittarius an extremely positive Sun sign. Hence Ophiuchus combines positive and negative features. If you are born between November 30 and December 17 you come under the Ophiuchus Sun sign. Here is a review of this Sun sign:
Positive Cosmics: Person with becalming and balming effect, most of the time a healer, in every family a “ sugar daddy” ; compassion is your hall mark ; high dexterity and manoeuvrability in handling any situations; an excellent problem-solver and trouble shooter; moderate but satisfactory lifestyle ; ability to forecast and clairvoyance; brings opposing factions together; dull looking person with passion for bright and flashing colours; always an idealist; hates crime and criminals; artistic and expressive tendencies make you famous in publishing , media, fashion and entertainment industry; during Christmas you don the clothes of Santa Claus to distribute gifts; you do well in professions bordering on medicine, therapy and ones that bring happiness and laughter to others
Negative Cosmics: Fall victim to conspiracy and deceit; land in unseen troubles without your knowledge; too passionate in love accompanied with too quick failures in family life; prone to accidents and accidental poisoning; high sensitivity mar your health resulting in breakdowns of heart and vital organs.

Everyday is different in terms of cosmics; in some days you are high in spirits; in some days you feel low in spirits; in few others you are on average in spirits. You can use perfumes effectively to harness high spirits and neutralize low spirits. This blog post helps you to do just that. Find the right perfume for each day and get your cosmics to work for you to change your lifestyle and end up improving your life too.
Just Few Notes
1. I am detailing the type of perfumes to be worn or applied on each day beginning from Sunday and ending on Saturday
2. Generally perfumes work well during the day. It is because the Sun is out there and sunlight and sunrays can augment the positive effects of the perfumes and neutralize any negative reactions. Yet another reason is that, the use of perfumes in the night time attracts unwanted attention from Genie on the one hand and criminal elements from human beings on the other. For example, when a young and beautiful girl wears an irresistible perfume during night, it can arouse feelings bordering on criminality in the minds of weak and violent men
3. In cosmic calculation a day begins from Sunrise and ends with Sun down. Each day is owned by a different planet. Hence, each day has different cosmics
4. The perfumes recommended are from generic names. Generally branded perfumery indicates on the carton a specific perfume as one of the basic part known as “Notes”. There are three such notes: top, middle and base
a) Top note gives instant burst of the perfume but does not last more than one hour.
b) Middle note, is the central part of the perfumery. In most cases this part is same as the brand name mentioned in the label; this perfume lingers for considerable hours.
c) Base note lasts longer say more than 12 hours but will have fairly low burst of fragrance.
5. It is better for you to buy branded products only if the product uses the perfumes either in middle or base notes
6. You should always insist on natural perfumery rather than artificial ones.
Sunday
Day: Owned by the Sun Hot & Dry Planet. Your spirits are on median level. You generally shift to reverse gear on Sundays. Avoid doing the same tasks you have been doing for the other six days; do something different; spend time out of your usual abode; attempt something out of the way. So use the perfumes that can make you turn diametrically.
Perfumes: Amber, Frankincense, Musk, Myrrh
Monday
Day: Owned by the Moon, Cold & Moist planet. Your spirits are high; you feel elated; you are ready for action; you want result. But you want it on your own way. That is not going to happen. Matters will come head on, one after another. Your patience is tested and you are in conflict with the environment. To resolve these psycho metrics you have to use perfumes that calm you down but make you brace any situation.
Perfumes: Honey suckle, Jasmine, Lemon, Night queen
Tuesday
Day: Owned by Mars, Very Hot & Dry planet. You are high on spirits so is your adrenalin. You can easily be teased into anger. You have high blood pressure or could sway violently in terms of moods. But your capacity to work is not impaired. At this moment you should use perfumes that take out the heat from your system and moist you more.
Perfumes: Neroli, Pitchouli, Rosemary
Wednesday
Day: Owned by Mercury, Moderately Cold & Dry planet. You are “born again adolescent” on a Wednesday. Enthusiasm, energy, and feeling of intense desire grip you. Wednesday can turn out to be busy or light depending on the activities you have scheduled. Yet for all purposes it is a day of moderate spirits. You can up your spirits if you want to by using the perfumes that build from the point you are and take you gradually upward.
Perfumes: Basil, Green champa, Lavender, Lemon grass, Lily
Thursday
Day: Owned by Jupiter, Moderately Warm & Moist planet. Good things always happen on a Thursday. More than that, you get rewards and appreciation too. Every Thursday you are ready for the big action because your spirits are damned high. All round you have pleasantness, easiness, a sense of deja vous; feeling of smoothness inside and a sweet smell of success outside. Your big task is how to keep up the tempo? So use the following perfumery.
Perfumes: Sandalwood, Saffron, Vanilla
Friday
Day: Owned by Venus, Moderately Cold & Moist planet. It is refreshing day as if you have swallowed all the mints in the world. High spirits in three sides: intellectual, sexual and spiritual. You have bonhomie quality through out the day. Awakening of these three energies have to be channelized by using the perfumery that would balance and focus these into a single flow.
Perfumes: Gardenia, Lilac, Rose, Violet
Saturday
Day: Owned by Saturn, Very Cold & Dry Planet. Saturday is a day of see-saw. Mornings are generally low spirited that taper as the day passes. Often you will experience moderate spirits combining internal delight and energy towards late afternoons. This negative cum positive level of enthusiasm has to be balanced on an even keel by using perfumery that drives away negative feelings and restore or sustain positive feelings.
Perfumes: Hyacinth, Peppermint, Pine, Vetiver

Van Helsing pulls down the curtain and let the sunlight comes in; feet of Dracula are caught in the ring of the sunlight; Dracula crumbles into dust and blown away…………..so runs the final scene of the 1958 horror film “Dracula”. Sunlight can do more than that. In this blog post I am arguing why you should let sunlight come into your life, home and office. I am also elaborating cosmics of sunlight so that you will use it for improving your life and lifestyle.
What is Sunlight?
Sunlight is an electro magnetic radiation coming from the Sun consisting light and heat. Sunlight is filtered through the atmosphere surrounding the earth as well as the clouds in the sky. Though electromagnetic radiation has several aspects; let me deal with the Visible Spectrum and the Ultra Violet Rays of the sunlight in this blog post.
Visible Spectrum
A visible spectrum is what your eyes can see in the sunlight. You can do this by looking at a rainbow or see the sunlight through a prism. You will see several colours continuing in a spectrum. Traditionally, the number of colours was fixed as seven. This is because of cultural and occult reasons. The Hindus ascribed Sun as Lord Vishnu who rode a carriage driven by seven horses implying seven colours and seven days in a week. Sir Isaac Newton on examination of the white sunlight through a prism found six colours: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Violet. Being an occultism he added one more colour “Indigo” by splitting the Violet colour. In fact indigo colour is formed by the mixture of more blue with less red.
Ultra Violet Rays
The Sun sends down ultra violet (UV) rays. Depending on the wavelength the UV rays are divided into three categories: UVA, UVB and UVC. The wavelength of the individual UV rays is given below:
UVA – 315 to 400 nanometers
UVB – 280 to 315 nanometers
UVC – 100 to 280 nanometers
The last one UVC is more damaging than the rest but is prevented by earth’s ozone layer from penetrating down on the surface of the earth. The human body produces Vitamin D through the intervention of the UVB of the sunlight. UVA is most beneficial with proper mix of radiation with the light
Positive Cosmics of Sunlight
1. Sunlight drives away vampires or simply destroys them. The visible spectrum of six colours Viz: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet transforms into the Star of David with miraculous power. It acts as a shield against evil spirits. Judeo-Christian-Islamic theocracy has accepted the existence of spirits and genies, which may be good or evil. You can check this aspect easily by going into your basement or attic that was never exposed to sunlight and sense the shrill silence and evilness pervading there. Neglected buildings are often haunted by genies of sorts
2. Sunlight brings blessings of the God, or the nature if you are not accepting the existence of God. In Hindu tradition Sun is Lord Vishnu and his concert is Lakshmi who is the Goddess of Fortune. When sunlight comes into your house it brings you glad tidings. In my practice, I have advised clients who suffer from financial mishaps to let sunlight come into their houses and offices, with good result. If you have your main door or windows facing eastern direction, keep these open as sunlight breaks in the dawn. Pharaoh Ramses II usually opens the doors and windows in the morning to allow sunlight in, a fact that made him wealthy and later a formidable opponent to Moses. In your office pull down shutters, binds and curtains to allow sunlight to come in with boons for you. You may continue to use the glass of the windows so as to protect from any ultra violet rays as glass does absorb these rays effectively
3. Sunlight aids in photosynthesis: a process of converting carbon dioxide into organic compounds using the energy from the sunlight, which is necessary for life on earth
4. The human body produces vitamin D from the sunlight; vitamin D plays a pivotal role in maintaining several organs and systems in your body
5. Sunlight avoids you falling into “Winter Depression” a condition where people who are not exposed to sufficient sunlight gets into mental lows during winter
6. Sunlight also avoids “Multiple Sclerosis”, a condition arising at fairly advanced age of life, when the ability of cells in the brain and spinal cord to co-ordinate with each other falters
7. Sunlight gives you the zing and zest and makes you a virile person. Just check your condition after warming with sunlight for few moments
8. Tanning of your skin in correct measure during sunbath gives your skin longevity and wrinkle free appearance throughout your life
9. Dermatological disorders such as eczema can be treated with a combination of medication and measured exposure to the morning sun
10. A ride in a train travelling south to north or vise versa during dawn would give you a pleasant awareness of the sunlight. You will see the Sun in all six colours sequentially as I did on the other day when I travelled in a train. In the eastern horizon sun rose and within few minutes I had the chance of seeing red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet sun, an invigorating and memorable scene chiselled in my life.
Negative Cosmics of Sunlight
On the fillip side, too much of sunlight can cause few problems:
1. Your skin produces Melanin in order to off-set the ill effects of UVA or UVB rays. If you have any melanin deficiency sunlight my cause you harm; your skin ages faster or is full of wrinkles
2. You could possibly get sun burns which can develop into mild or severe inflammation of the part of the skin that is exposed to excessive sunlight
3. During bright sunshine, sunlight can counteract with the workings of certain medication such as antibiotics
4. In some instances sunlight is devilled by doctors as causing skin cancer; however the instances and the exclusivity of sunlight causing such malady need to be evaluated.
As the positive cosmics over weigh negative cosmics of the sunlight the universal advice is: Let the Sunlight Come In.

Even a mundane affair like ironing a shirt can reveal the personality characteristics of men. Most men are too lazy to iron their shirts and palm it off to their wives or others. When they do iron they tend to show their natural and inner feelings and traits. This blog post delves deep into the action of ironing shirts by men and explains the cosmics relating to it. It also explains the personality and lifestyle of men behind ironing shirts.
Introduction
A shirt has seven parts: Collar, Yoke, Back Body, Right Front, Left Front, Right Sleeve and Left Sleeve. Anyone who is to iron a shirt has to start with one of the seven parts. Your man is no exception; he will habitually starts with one of the seven parts. Not that he does it deliberately; it is his cosmics that drive him to do so. It is because each part of a shirt is related to one of the seven planets that influences him. Let me give a broad review of the personality profile of your man, anchored upon each of the seven parts.
1. Collar: Collar is the top most part and relates to the Sun. If your man habitually irons the collar first, then he is basically influenced by the Sun. As a Solarian he is a confident, no nonsense person with little or no patience. He wants you to lay the table for dinner or dress up to go for a dinner in a jiffy. He will blare or bluster when challenged or cornered. But in normal course of life he is a sweet husband and a loving father. He wants the place in order and believes in ethics and logic. Very conscious of his leisure you cannot disturb him when he takes his snooze late in a Sunday morning. Basically a man about the worlds he can be generous towards his friends and harsh on his opponents. He will not tolerate any evil doing in his career even though he is bent upon seeking power and glory. He is faithful too but might feel taken back when you dance with one of his friend in a party
2. Yoke: Yoke supports the collar and links with the rest of the five parts: Back Body, Right Front, Left Front, Right Sleeve and Left Sleeve. It relates to the planet Mars. If your man habitually irons the yoke first, then he is basically influenced by Mars. Let me pity you, because you have got a fighter at home. As a Martian he is courageous, taciturn person with plenty of stamina. He will often shoot his mouth and spend rest of the time facing the consequences or engaged in damage limitation. Violence and repentance follow each other in constant train of events in his life. Most men in military are wont to iron yoke first. Compensating factor is his kindness and generosity towards family, friends, colleagues and the society in general. Martians cannot tolerate inefficiency, injustice and unfairness. You have lot more to do in holding his hand lest he gets into further quagmire be it in business or in family
3. Back Body: As the name suggests, it is the spinal element that holds the skeleton of the shirt. Like Atlas it carries the weight and like Sisyphus it pushes the remaining four parts to be shrink and crease free. It is a thankless job indeed, and it relates to the planet Saturn to boot. If your man habitually irons the back body first, then he is basically influenced by Saturn. As a Saturnian he is clumsy, generally overweight with a pot belly and equally bloating shoulders. Your man is neglected by everyone including you though without him neither the family nor his office can ever run. Rule minded like the British, a Saturnian is not a person to be befriended easily. Like the British his mind can only work in regimented and oft-beaten path. Novelty, lateral thinking and out of the box solution never appeal to him. He will grin if you cook the food he likes and growl when you don’t. When his office guys are on a spot they quietly get him to un- entangle from it. Both benevolent diplomacy and malevolent conspiracy are tools in his repertoire. Yet for all purposes he is a self-effacing but lonely man around your home
4. Right Front: Always you put the right front right. Related to the Moon, right front is luxury of mind. If your man habitually irons the right front first, then he is basically influenced by the Moon. As a Lunarian he is here, he is there and he is everywhere. His mind is constantly boiling: when ironing a shirt he will hum a country song but his mind is thinking about unfinished work in his office. Sometimes he will burn a part of the shirt as well. Vacillating mind along with fluctuating level of stamina are hallmarks of your man. His emotions are not stable, never. His actions are seasonal like the Moon. At times he is a passionate lover and in other times he is too boring. Life with lunarian is not easy. Your man can be cheery one moment and turn moody on the next. For a minor mishap he will jump at you or blame you to say the least. But he can be generous, sometimes too generous with every body connected with him. A word of caution: hold his reins if he gets over-anxious regarding his health or comforts
5. Left Front: Left has the analytical brain, universally. Related to the planet Mercury left front is luxury of intellect. If your man habitually irons the left front first, then he is basically influenced by Mercury. As a Mercurian your man is too active in terms of intelligence and physical prowess. While ironing he will blabber, speak to his friend over the phone and at the same time gulp little whisky. A memory bank, he simply cannot forget but ready to forgive. Chasing after young girls in the vicinity, he is too fond of enjoying life. An affable person he feels ready to mix business with pleasure. He is witty, eloquent and never fumbles for a word. At times he is frivolous but can gain repose immediately
6. Right Sleeve: Zeus at home sans all the bad qualities of the god Zeus. Related to the planet Jupiter, right sleeve is an expression of knowledge, wealth and poutiness. If your man habitually irons the right sleeve first, then he is basically influenced by Jupiter. As a Jovian your man is intelligent, bright, god fearing with a noble countenance. People believe in him and trust in him. Hardly a day passes without his being invited to attend to some vexatious matter of his relations, friends, associates and others. He seeks wealth and pleasure, in moderation though. A perfect husband, he never fails in his family duty. However, his failing comes when his kindness is interpreted as weakness by others surrounding him. Remember how the god Zeus gets into trouble
7. Left Sleeve: Celebrity it is. Related to the planet Venus left sleeve is an expression of arts and entertainment. If your man habitually irons the left sleeve first, then he is basically influenced by Venus. As a Venusian your man jostles with celebrities or he is celebrity himself. Fond of wining and dining he is an embodiment of beauty, lifestyle, sensuality and pleasance. He earns and thereafter enjoys or squanders what he has earned. Most Venusians get into financial trouble at early years. His pretty face and features are magnets in getting him to climb the ladder faster and at the same time might turn out to be the Achilles Heel by attracting unwanted relationship from scheming women. You have to be always on guard about what he does especially in business or employment.

Star of David is significant in many aspects. A key significance is how this six pointed hexagram is related to the six areas of your body. In this blog post, I am sketching the six areas of your body and how these relate to Physiognomy as well as Cosmics in terms of the Star of David.
Six Areas of Your Body
The areas are: Head, Hand, Chest, Waist, Genitals and Legs. Let me describe each area consisting different parts classified under different segments as far as possible. Each area has significance in terms of Physiognomy and Cosmics.
1. Head
Segments
Head Segment: Head, Hair, Forehead, Ears
Face Segment: Eyebrow, Eyes, Nose, Philtrum
Mouth Segment: Lips, Teeth, Tongue, Palate
Others: Chin, Cheek, Neck
Physiognomy: The fifteen body parts are broadly divided into four broader segments. Head segment goes round the body whereas face segment shows the front upper parts ending with the philtrum, a vertical groove above the upper lip but below the nose. Mouth segment delves deep from the outer lips to get inside the mouth to observe teeth, tongue and palate in a row. Chin and cheek are more connected than eye and eye-brow. Neck stands out; moreover it connects the head to the torso. The head segment conveys about the person, his beliefs, attitudes and conduct. It also details his position, power, fortune and sex.
Cosmics: The head is what a man is; your head is pitched towards the north hence in the Star of David it occupies the first and top point looking north.
2. Hand
Segments
Shoulder Segment: Shoulder, Upper-arm
Elbow Segment: Elbow, Fore-arm
Hand Segment; Wrist, Fingers, Nails
Physiognomy: The seven body parts are broadly divided into three broader segments. Shoulder segment is connected to the torso; shoulder generally implies the upper area but should also cover the arm-pit as well. Extension from the shoulder to the elbow is the upper arm which in the case of men builds up their biceps. Upper arms end with the elbow. Both elbows and fore-arm are in the elbow segment. Elbow is a key as it tells about a person’s ability to move vertically, horizontally and laterally in given situation. The phrase “elbow room” originates from this aspect. Fore-arm is the lower version of upper arm and is very important to evaluate women and their ability in house keeping. The hand segment contains wrists and below. Wrist, fingers and nails betray the nature and fortune of a person. In Tamil culture, a lady is defined as Fortunate Housewife (Gruha Lakshmi) by her hands. Overall hand segment conveys how a person goes about in family and society.
Cosmics: The shoulder signifies work and toil; every human being born in this world must work for himself, for others and for the God. On the Star of David, the shoulder occupies the second point anti-clockwise.
3. Chest
Segments
Front Segment: Chest for Men / Breast for Women, Stomach
Back Segment: Spine, Back
Physiognomy: The four body parts are divided into two segments. Front Segment has Chest and Stomach. The word chest is used for men and the word breast is used for women. Masculinity is defined when a man has broad chest and hair over it. Femininity is defined with rounded and voluptuous breasts without any hair. Chest is the centre of breathing with heart and lungs located within. Stomach on the other hand incorporates the digestion function and show the level of contentment and fortune or in some cases poverty. Back segment has Spine and Back. Spine is cosmic centre for men because the God created Adam and from whose rib he created Eve, so goes the scripture. We always describe a coward as “spineless”. Although back is vertical and in unison for purpose of analysis we differentiate between upper back for breathing and lower back for digestion.
Cosmics: The chest signifies the service function; internally a person breathes and processes the food and water intakes; milk of kindness is seen in the chest; in the case of women it transforms into milk for the baby. On the Star of David, the chest occupies the third point anti-clockwise.
4. Waist
Physiognomy: Waist is in a single segment consisting two body parts: waist and Navel. Waist is the junction between stomach and genitals. Hence it forms an important area. Though men are not concerned with bloating waist women need to have narrow and soft waist. For men waist gives a bill of health; for women a certificate of beauty. Navel like waist is the junction between stomach and genitals and conveys the memory of the umbilical cord. Navel indicates the genetics of a person.
Cosmics: The waist signifies the centre of body frame and on the Star of David it occupies the fourth point anti-clockwise. In fact, the waist is perpendicular to the head in terms of this positioning.
5. Genitals
Physiognomy: Though the word Genitals is used, this segment erects downward with four body parts: Hips, Genitals, Booty and Thigh, all of these located below diaphragm, popularly known as solar plexus. A hip is again a junction separating upper torso from the lower body. Wide and curvy hips in women are marks of femininity, fertility, sexual potency and fortune. Genitals are unique as this area covers sexual orgasm and urinary tracts. Buttocks go in steps with genitals as excretory organ and facilitating human beings to sit upon. For women on the other hand booty gives beauty and signs of wealth. Of late women’s booty has become a sexual play as well. Where thighs fit in this scheme you may ask me. Thighs and buttocks go together. For both men and women strong thighs indicate physical strength. For women thighs enhance their beauty too.
Cosmics: Genitals are to do with procreation and excretion; hence on the Star of David it occupies the fifth point anti-clockwise. In fact genitals are perpendicular to the chest in terms of this positioning.
6. Legs
Segments
Knee Segment: Knee, Shank
Feet Segment: Ankles, Feet Uppers, Heels, Soles, Toes, Toenails
Physiognomy: This area stretches from the knee downwards. The eight body parts are divided into two segments. Knee Segment has knee and shanks; both are important in analysis. The knee is a junction that connects the thigh bone and shin bone popularly known as shank. The shank can be straight, curved or crooked. Both keep a person agile and alive. Feet segment has Ankles, Feet Uppers, Toes and Toenails all are on the surface whereas Heels and Soles are underneath. The feet segment indicates sex & marriage, failure & success, fame & notoriety etc.
Cosmics: Legs signify agility and activity. The knee downward to the foot is a source of basic cosmic energy that keeps a person agile and alive. Hence, on the Star of David legs occupy the sixth and last point anti-clockwise. In fact, legs are perpendicular to shoulders in terms of positioning.

All of you have a significant issue to contend with. How to manage time? How to get the best from a twenty-four hour day? How to allocate the time between conflicting demands? All these questions continue to nag from a corporate leader down to a maths teacher. I am proposing System 8484 as a simple and straightforward solution. This blog posts explain the Time Management System 8484 and its cosmics. By implementing this system you can manage your time effectively. This could result in changes in your life style. Moreover, it would improve your business life as well as family life.
Introduction
Time Management System 8484 stands for the allocation of hours amongst Work, Maintenance, Rest & Service. Work is allocated 8 hours; Maintenance is given 4 hours; Rest is allowed 8 hours; finally Service is provided with 4 hours. All add to a 24 hour day. This system gets its name “System 8484” from the number hours allocated for each segment. You can draw up your routine on a weekly basis and list your activities and time taken under the four heads: Work, Maintenance, Rest & Service. As much as possible you stick to the routine. There may be instances when one head exceeds its allotted total hours; never mind. Once in a way, any system has to be stretched, amended or adjusted. In these circumstances try to come back to normal routine as soon as possible. Sometimes, there could be grey areas such as business travel. If you are travelling from home to work it cannot be treated under the “Work “head; but if you are travelling on duty during office hours it should be treated as part of work. You can develop your own categorization to treat each item. However, the broad System 8484 should be retained. Make it a point to review your Time Management System 8484 on a weekly basis.
Work 8 Hours
I use the word “Work” as something encompassing your main activity. In the case of a student study is equated to Work; in the case of a priest preaching and connected area is treated as Work; for a self-employed, everything he does in furthering his earnings is Work; in the case of a housewife managing a house is Work. At the same time, it does not mean that the housewife does the 8 hours at a stretch; it could be ordinarily staggered. Though Work generally implies activities during weekdays, it is not necessarily so. For a self-employed, there is no demarcation between weekdays and week-ends. Even for a salaried person, seminars and coaching can fill up the week-ends. However, many of you have your week-ends intact. If so it would be better to use the week-ends to attend on activities connected with your house and activities under Service 4 Hours explained later in this blog post.
Most of you do not put 8 hours work; this is because most part of your time is wasted; there are enough time-wasters; the latest is the endless meetings you attend. Unexpected visitors from outside or un-scheduled appointments springing up inside office are the next time waster. Fire fighting is the harrowing item, where your time is spent in managing issues and problems that crop up in due course. If you really put a solid 8 hours work then it is more than enough. If so, you do not need to carry the work to your home. A person who works late is generally not rewarded, but a person who comes to office early is always appreciated. Unless there is an emergency or the need to earn more money never go on board for working late. Remember a smart worker is better than a hard worker.
Maintenance 4 Hours
Under this head we have a range of activities. Once you have done a solid 8 hours of work it is necessary to maintain the system. As a student you are always reminded “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. Children who balance their studies and sports emerge as leaders. As a youth you are encouraged to work and study and engage in sports as well. When you reach middle ages, you are advised to work in office and do the work-outs in the gym. By the time you become a senior citizen you work little, stroll in the evening and turn to your spiritual side. Whatever you do and whatever the station and status you are in, keep in your mind that you have to maintain your body, mind and finally the soul. As you grow the attention paid for body maintenance gradually decreases; not only that, even the focus undergoes a change. In the beginning you are focussed to build up stamina and towards late life you concentrate on endurance against disease and disability. Likewise maintaining mind also goes a see-saw. As a child and during adolescence you have to study books to hone your mind skills; as you reach maturity it is observation, recollection and reflection that keep your mind alert. Then there is enjoyment of the body and mind: sex, dating, attending parties, entertainment, leisure all these are must for everyone in varying degree of course. Even then, soul is the missing link for many of you.
I suggest that you spend your Maintenance 4 Hours in physical work-outs, taking bath, clipping your nails, having hair-cut, trimming your body and looking after your physical body as if it is your spouse, that is give the best enjoyment in sex and pleasure. Thereafter, attend to your mind; spend time to relax the mind by doing a jigsaw puzzle or crossword puzzle or do few arithmetical calculations; if you cannot do any of these let your mind fly away to a distant land observing and recollecting all what your mind reads. Finally, I suggest that you start Yoga, Kabala, or Sufi Exercises that enhance your inner power and strength.
Rest 8 Hours
Rest is again all-inclusive word; it can mean sleep, rest or simply relaxing. Every person requires good sleep; children sleep for 11 to 12 hours; teens need about 9 to 10 hours which they hardly get; adults require about 7 to 8 hours which they neglect. At sleep your systems in the body continue to function. While it slows metabolism, heart-beat and blood-pressure, it continues its function of producing & releasing hormones and replacing body cells. In the case of children and teens it makes them grow, while in the case of adults it strengthens their systems. When you do not get the necessary sleep this function is impaired. You can reduce the sleep time only if you are able to take an afternoon siesta or can take rest in the day time. As a busy executive you may not get the necessary sleep at one stretch. No harm if you can compensate by catching up of the lost sleep hours. You must train yourself to relax in the middle of a heated discussion or under any stressful conditions.
If you are doing solid 8 hours work and solid 4 hours Maintenance, then it is easy for you to fall sleep, rest or relax as you please. If not, then you have troubles in getting the necessary rest. Listening to soft music or looking at natural scenes relaxes you more than any medication. Behaviour modification, called Be-Mod is another solution. On your own you can start scrutinizing your Work and Maintenance schedules and make the necessary amendments and adjustments.
Service 4 Hours
You will be wondering why I am using the word “Service”. Well service is something you do for others; it may be under a filial bond such as looking after the family and children or extending your heart by looking after people outside your family circles. Put it in other words it is your contribution to the family at home and society at large. On reaching her 100 th birthday the Queen Mother in England was asked how does she feel now? She gracefully replied saying that the God has given her life to do service unto others. If neglected, the areas of familial love and societal love would come to roost towards the end of your life.
Spend time with the children or with your spouse; have little time to fix the leaking pipe. Visit your mother or an elder. Do something for others: socializing is a must because you are a social animal; attending weddings and funerals is a social duty cast upon you. Joining in your colleague’s birthday party is another item in your agenda. Extending it little far, you remember the local priest asked you to attend to some work which you never did. Now is the time to complete this task. Participate in activities of a voluntary association in your area. If you cannot do these on a weekdays do it over the week-end. Whatever you do remember one point: None of the activities should give direct benefit to you and you alone.
